Mod Issues

Post by amora_pwns »

I have a couple. I'm sorry if this has already been posted, but my computer is being stupid and won't let me get to the forum's search page- please bear with me...

Anyways, I have a few mods I'm having problems with. The Constance Companion mod, when active, freezes every time I enter Gnisis after it gives me a bajillion error messages.

Also, a few of my mods give me this message in the 'Summary' box under the Data Files window from the Main Menu:

"Bloodmoon/Tribunal is required for this file to be loaded, and has changed since this file was last saved. You may experience problems in the game."

Then, when I get to the actual game after the first little movie intro thingy, I get a popup box that says:

"One or more plugins could not find the correct versions of the master files they depend on. Errors may occur during load or gameplay. Check the 'Warnings.txt' file for more info.

Continue running executable? Y/N "

I always hit "yes" and the game is pretty much fine until it crashes 30-60 minutes later.

I'm wondering if there's anything I can do to fix those messages?

ONE MORE THING: I just remembered, when I copied over the Constance mod, I had to replace a Breton hair texture. That probably screwed it up. Darn.
For future reference: is there any way I can change the file name, like add a number on the end so it doesnt do that? or would it just not work anymore?

Thank you so much in advance to anyone who decides to take the time to read this. I know its alot of questions, sorry.

Amora

That's odd. I've never encountered that problem. I suggest starting a thread here, in Emma's own forum, where she frequently shows up.

Do you have the two addons? Because you may be getting this message if you don't.

This is a standard message often encountered when you add a mod that changes the conditions in your character's current cell, or remove any mod at all. What you should do is move to another cell (anything that loads a new cell would count), then save the game, and load that last save. You should be fine after that.

Though a friend of mine suggests when you get into that new cell, drop everything your character is holding a wearing, save then, and load, then pick it all up. He says it makes the save as clean as possible.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

Or look in your warnings file in the morrowind directory and see what mod is causing this. Then load the mod in the CS then go to File\ Combine loaded plugins. I would suggest you try fable's method 1st though.

Well, I fixed the Constance mod... I'm not sure how, but I yweaked a few things and she runs fine.

However the other problems still remain- Fable, I do have both addons, and they run fine. I'm not sure why those messages are coming up.

I'll try the clean save when I game later today. Vaccuming first :)
