I have 1 single hard drive, but two partitions. One partition is 5 gigs, and that I figure is about right for windows and needed Microsoft files, etc. The other partition is 345 gigs.
Now, my problem is, all my video games want to install to that 5 gigabyte space because that's where windows is running. Obviously, games now these days are not going to fit there, so I change them to the 345 one if I can.
However, some games for whatever reason do not offer a chance to change your hard drive. I'm wondering if there is any way to make my huge hard drive the standard one for standard installations without deleting partitions or making windows Inactive.
Is this possible?

AFAIK those games don't want to install on the Windows drive, but on the C:\ drive. What you could try to do is changing your drive letters, but that probably will cause more trouble than it's worth.
From my experience some installers let you choose between a standard installation and an installation for experienced people. With the last one you can set the installation folder.

You can expand the 5 gig windows partition with this free program.
Ranish Partition Manager. Hard Disk Partitioning Software. Download freeware tools and source code...
Games that don't allow you to choose a drive letter are probably older and not that big anyway. You can also try letting it install and then moving it to the large partition.
