Hey
Well i wanna start saying that i like this game a lot, this is the 2nd time im playing it, but the 1st time i didnt know a lot of things about the game so this time i really enjoying it big time. I wanted to know if increasing the difficulty of the game (not the HoF mode) increases the xp aswell.
and pls some1 tell me how does HoF mode works, i mean it increases attack bonus of foes in X% and damage bonus of foes in X% and so on.
and what about the 6 wizard party? it is worthy to try?
and i think that bards, rangers and sorceres are kinda crappy in this game am i right?
well farewell folks, im glad to be here and thanks in advance 4 the help.
about game difficulty
Your XP does not increase by upping the difficulty as far as I know - it does however, dramatically increase when you go into HoF mode.
As for HoF mode, few people really know the exact values that HoF mode adds to the monsters (I wish I knew myself!). About the only well known thing is that the attack bonus is capped at +52 (requiring you to reach an AC of 72+ to avoid all but critical hits). Note that a single HoF goblin in Targos Docks could easily butcher your entire party if you start at level 1 in HoF mode. Mind you, there are probably people out there who have completed it from level 1...
Bonuses in HoF mode are to AC, saving throws, hit points (at least x3), attack bonus, damage (at least x2), spell resistance, ability stats, etc...
A 6 wizard party is not a good idea - simply because there is a shortage of scrolls for that many characters. As a result, Bards and Sorcerers are NOT "crappy". In fact, the sorcerer is one of the best classes - possibly THE best in HoF mode. Wizards do make better "mix-in" classes for multi-class characters though.
I personally think Rangers are rubbish - one rarely needs more than 1 level - but others will disagree. It depends on whether you like rangers for the role-playing aspect.
