Chicken Farming??

What is the chicken farmer in the Umar Hills doing? In all of my dialogues, I have no idea that he serves any purpose. Is he a thread that just died out and the programmers didn't get around to his story?

If you talk to the guy standing at the river crossing to the North East of the chickens and pay him a small fee he'll tell you some interesting info about those chickens. If you then talk to the farmer again you'll get the option of buying a very special egg.

Do you know of the uses of that gem? (One in normal game, two with item upgrade mod installed.)

I found one of these little gems and know it can be used for an item upgrade but do not know which...yet.

Check the Bridge district. There is another gem somewhere else (I forget where), but combine it with that item and it upgrades.

Crespenar in ToB

IIRC I believe Crespenar in ToB needs one for one of the upgrades he can do. I can't remember which but there is page on his upgrades in the BG2 section here on GameBanshee.
