Morning All,

@Des
But the problem is when you do zoom up as close to the character as possible, the main character looked kind of ugly. Furthermore, the viewing angle in Neverwinter Nights is restrictive (in 3rd person view, that is), making it harder to manoeuvre around and doesn't give a good view of the situation.
Heh, NO argument there, those graphics look really bad. :D Thinking back on it now I didn't stay in that view long for the very reasons you mentioned. Oh well, but I do recommend BG2 along with rest if you'd like to try FRPG.

*A party, yeah!! About time for some action. Hmm, now regarding the mystic thief, for all we know she could just be faking slumber and sizing us up as potential marks, cleric of ..um.., who DO you follow anyway? Probably better to have her in the party. Being a "mystic" thief, maybe she is a mage too*

What's it to you, cone head? Although I do take your advice regarding flying knives kindly.

* Returning to Philos.*

Your a ranger right? And that means good aligned, right? Well my deity is very helpful but probably not one you would have heard of. We may have to wait and see if the "Mystic Theif" is going to be any use. While we wait another brewski might help pass the time.

Hey, long time no see. :) I hang around this thread just to kill time. Not much of an SYM poster, by the way. I mostly frequent the gaming sections. Had to log off now since my connection is terrible at the moment. :(

Cone head warrior???!!!!

I'm offended! :mad:

I'm a cone head "handler" not a warrior. :p

*thinks of what he just blurted out*

Somehow that didn't sound right. :o

As for your private conversation... oh, my apologies. I should never ever interrupt when one is into his inebriated soliloquies... :D

@Magrus: 45minutes? :eek:

Is that a world record for you? :D :p

@Athena: Nice to see you again. :)

:laugh: Not at all. I just did some math, and I am looking into a job change. I need to cut things out of my budget, and well, alcohol needs to go until I get a raise, unfortunately. :( It's my last resort for when I cannot sleep, so that could cause problems with my insomnia.

I wish. Its a pity there's no such thing as bandwith transfer. :( Oh well, my connection is back to normal again. ;) I hope it stays that way because at times, GB's front page can't even load properly and trying to post a reply is quite of a hassel at times.

Morning All,

@mr_snow,

I really don't hate NWN, was just disappointed. Given its more recent release than most of the older CRPGs I play, I guess I was expecting the graphics to be a lot better than they were. Also dislike only having one "henchman" and not being able to give them things to help improve them.

@Des, Athena,

At home the best I can do is "dial up". :laugh:
Although only 20 miles outside a big city we do not even have DSL :speech:

*Shakes head, looks back at ragged cleric. Sorry, I was keeping track of one of those gulls. It looked like it was going to land on the rafter above our heads. Hate finding surprises in my backpack. I scared it away though. Sorry fair Wench, if you have a ladder, I'll remove that arrow from the rafter. How about another round for the cleric and myself, if you would please? Looking at lampshade warrior/handler asks "Are you a monk, or did last night prove to be a bit too much fun?" :D Although a monk would be helpful, we really need a mage too.*

I live half a world away from the US so I can't tell how fast the connection speeds are over there. :( What I do know is that the connection in the US is much faster than where I come from. Anyway, my ISP is doing some maintenance to the server, causing the connection to slow down at times. Now, it seems like everything is back to normal for now but the slowdown might occur at anytime. :(

Afternoon Des,

From your location "frontlines" and
"I live half a world away from the US"
I take it you are possibly "in country" in the "sandbox"?

* Accepts the drink from Philos and drains it in one gulp. Appears to brighten considerably. Turns to Mah. *

Keep your, ahh, hat on. Are you also skilled in the magic arts?

@Philos, Any reduction in the winged vermin around here is a small step in the right direction. * Whispered * Lets play along with the cone head. I think I spy a fat purse.

Had to edit my previous post since there was some mistake I made when I typed it.

Aye, you're wrong. ;) I'm pinned down in a trench by heavy machine-gun fire at the moment and trying to find a way to flank it. :D :mad:

@Des

Ah, my bad. Guess I read too much between the lines. ;)
Smoke grenades and suppressive cover fire always worked well for me.

@Curdis

*Noticing improved demeanor of ragged cleric, "Well, let's hope Mah is a mage or another walks in soon. Still wonder about that mystic thief, hmm?"
