Your best pickpocket.

Post by Magelord648 »

Your best pickpocket. (small chance of spoilers)

Well the title sort of explains it. After reading Nerevarine's thread about Helseth's signet ring I thought when I go to Mournhold and complete Tribunal I might as well take it for myself. Well my character isn't the kind of person who goes around killing people for nice items. So then the idea hit me. I'll pickpocket him. It'll be hard but I'll manage it in the end. Then that made me think what items have you guys managed to pickpocket. I haven't in the 3 or 4 years I've been playing ever managed a successful pick pocket but that's because I haven't really tried. So. What's the most valuable item you've ever pickpocketed?

On a side note. Can you pickpocket items that the NPC has equipped?

Shouldn't this thread have a spoiler tag on it?

Umm. I became frustrated at the amount of stuff the people in the mages guild in Balmora had on them that I didn't. I thought "They aren't saving the world, I am. I'm going to take it." I did. I got caught. The frame rate dropped to about 1 frame every 2 minutes from the amount of spells going off as the whole guild attacked me. :o
"You can do whatever you want to me."
"Oh, so I can crate you and hide you in the warehouse at the end of Raiders?"
"So funny, kiss me funny boy!" / *Sprays mace* " I know, I know, bad for the ozone"

@Magrus,
ROFL! :D

Thing is, it's actually really difficult to pickpocket in this game, even with your sneak and security maxed out and augmented. I usually play stealth characters, and I've only rarely managed a successful pickpocket. :rolleyes:

I once almost five-fingered the Umbra Sword (after donating it to the museum of artifacts) , but I got caught. I suppose the best thing I've ever pick-pocketed was an amulet of wild levitate.
You can always become stronger in Morrowind, but it's never enough. PM me if you know what I'm talking about.

I traded the 'boots of blinding speed' as one of the two artifacts at the museum, and then I stole them back ten minutes later...

I was sneaking around trying to save someone... this girl near Gnar Mok, and I accidentally tried to talk to her while I was sneaking... so I get the pick-pocket screen... she has nothing... I quickly close the window... she 'catches' me in the act, and starts kicking the stuffing out of me! Here I am trying to lead her out of the dungeon that I have just de-populated for her safety, and she is punching me the whole way out of the cave! ... I tried 'calm humanoid" and that worked for a few minutes at a time...
I was a bruised and battered hero...

Stendar's hammer isn't a pickpocket and looking at another thread apparently you didn't do it honestly so I hope you don't expect any praise.
