Please Help, I'm Desperate!!!!
So I had an old copy of IWD2 and I believe the disk was just ruined to where it wouldn't install. Whenever I would try to install I would get some error. Well it would go into my Add/Remove program list and I woulnd't be able to uninstall it from there because I guess it wasn't fully installed. Well I recently ordered a new copy and I am again unable to install, I recieve an error "Setup Was unable to read the necissary registry entries." It gives the web site support, I went there and tried everything on it, still won't work. I even called the number but it is aparently shut down. IWD2 is still in the Add/Remove Programs list and I really don't want to have to reformat my computer just to play this game, although thats how badly I want to play again so I may just try that if there is no other way. I would apreciate any and all help. I loved this game and you guys are my last hope!!
I had that problem with Tales of the Sword Coast... I had to get help and delete all the Files of it on my Computer, and I mean delete. Not from Add/Remove, but from the Computer itself. I can't remember what you need to do to get there, but you have to search for anything containing Icewind Dale II and delete everything that isn't essential. This may include all Black Isle stuff, so beware...
