Halp! Big Problem! (many spoilers)

Post by Alcyone »

I finished the Seven Suns quest and was approached by a messenger saying I needed to go back to the Flaming Fist Headquarters and report to Scar. Upon returning there, Scar is nowhere to be found.

Now, I *think* I know what I did. Earlier I spoke to Dilos and gave him a smartass reply. However, there's no way, it seems, to create Dilos and speak to him again, nor does creating Scar help (he just gives me the Seven Suns quest again). Is there anything I can do, and if not, is this game still winnable? I fail at saving, if it's not possible to finish I'm going to have to start the whole game over again. :(

Did you go inside the Flaming Fist compound? Scar is usually found inside by that time.

Are you sure you're not just missing him? I've done it before as he's standing in the row like another random soldier.

He's not really important, either. Just talk to Duke Eltan and get going. Try to talk to the summoned Scar many times otherwise. If you speak with him like 3 times, you get an option that the Seven Suns was too hard for you and he'll give you the followup quest.

I can keep checking, but I'm almost completely certain he's not there. It's bizzare (the funny thing is, I feel like it happened before, way back when).

I'll try continuing to talk to summoned Scar too. I'm glad to know I don't have to do his quests to continue the game though.

maybe it could be a time of day thing? I have never been that far yet so I don't know the situation but I do know in BG2 some people are only available at certain times of day. Just a thought...

It's a thought...unfortunately, it didn't solve the problem. Looks like I'll have to go without the ogre mage quest...oh well.

Running around the sewers, getting flamed by smelly kobolds and possibly getting lost in those long canals of poo... what's there not to like? :D
