Protector Herald stack with Defender Herald?

Post by Planet_Guardian »

Does the "Protector Herald" from the Sisterhood Guild (+10%damage resist) stack with the Lord's special "Defender Herald" (+20%damage resist), making it 30%damage resistant...or does the 20%damage resistant from the "Defender Herald" take presidence? Or do neither of them provide any function...as I never noticed the little aid coming from the "Protector Herald".

And how much damage does the skill "Iron Will" reduce when "Iron Will" skill is raised up to higher skill levels? Does it rival the Lord's special heraldry, is it less valuable, or is "Iron Will" better in damage resistance compared to when the 2 heraldries stack with each other?

I know according to my manual that "Iron Will" also shrugs off blows that connect making you able to land your attacks without flinching, but I want to know the ratio of damage resistance between the 2 heraldries I mentioned and that of "Iron Will".

Thanks for any answers/comments.

Well, I'm working on an Enchantress (gets the Protector herald, +10%damage resistance) and the Stargazer (gets "Iron Will", reduces damage?...or does it just mean that you don't flinch?)

I'm hoping to find my answers there about stacking of Damage Resistance. But, I still will remain unresolved behind the "Protector Herald" and the "Defender Herald".

I suppose none of these damage resistances matter...when you can just cast the Level 10 Celestial spell, Divine Grace, you gain immunity from ALL damage which defeats the purpose of having +10%, +20% resistances, along with Iron Will.

Whatever. I guess I've been answering my own questions with more questions. "If you've got the webspace, and I've got the questions, we'll find the answers to anything, eventually."

For the first question... Yes they do stack and yes they do decrease your damage taken if your not one of those gung ho gi joe killers running head long into every melee attack in hopelessly outnumbered odds.. (Playing mage standing back and casting spells myself) Iron will only has one function and that is to allow you to obsorb blows while still effectively casting spells without spell interruption...

The spell divine grace seems to be one of those spells in the game that don't work.. I suggest you look back through the posts here cause awhile back George and I went through and listed the useless spells in arcane, celestial, nether, and rune, that don't work in the game or don't appear to be working.. I think it was entitled... ""Does Not Work""
