Try it the other way around. Right-click on the empty slot in your quickbar, then navigate to the feat and just click on it. That way, you can assign it to a quickslot ( by the way, this is how you assign feats to quickslots in general ).

Just a word of advice.. dump your Palemaster asap, they suck.
I played a Sorc/PM 4/6 and im having serious problems killing stuff.
Bioware really screwed up the PM-class when they "forgot" to give
him ability to learn new spells with each lvl.

What you read in the description, about getting access to "incredible dark powers"
is nothing but a joke. I can barely kill a troll in chapter-II cuz of their HP-regen.

Please refrain from giving meaningless advice. Your opinion of the class was not asked for.

He will play whatever he wishes. Also, the Pale Master class does gain more spell slots and is formidable class due to the "dark powers" that he gains, contrary to what Dreez said.

Dreez, it's your fault for choosing to make a Sorc/Palemaster. Wizards can still learn spells off scrolls, try researching properly before spreading your ignorance in the form of generalisations. And also consider the possible benefits for melee characters. The real drawback of the Palemaster is that any spell with saves is worthless.
