How do the Eastern Classes work

Post by Yohan The Brave »

Ok this is what I'm thinking for class progression

Fighter/Samurai/Mage/Valkyrie/War Witch

But then I thought since the Eastern classes are a sub guild they might not require you to be in the fighters guild to gain the Samurai class. If this is the case I'd rather take Rogue as a first class.

Does anyone know?

hi

As you know the Eastern Houses are a sub guild and if you want to become a Samurai u must be in the fighter guild. If you take one of your first tier classes Rogue u will get from the Eastern houses the secon tier class Budoka. You must be in the Fighters Guild if u wanna become a Samurai or Imperial. As for the Mage Guild if you wanna join the Eastern Houses u gain the second tier class Shugenja. :D

It looks to me like Samurai is the only eastern class in that build. The classes Valkyrie and War Witch is available from the Sisterhood guild, which is obviously only available to female characters. You can get started in the Sisterhood by talking to Lady Loriea after you've saved her from the band of goblins.

Oh, and as far as I know there are no first tier class requirements to take any of the Sisterhood classes, though I haven't experimented with that so I don't know for sure. If you want to start out as Fighter and Rogue instead of Fighter and Mage you probably could. Would anybody care to confirm or deny this?

This is correct.

Just a FYI, (unless you already know this).

You will lose one of your heraldies that you got from the fortune teller at the beginning of the game, if you ever visit the apocathery to get your SisterHood Heraldies. Just to let you know. (That bothered me for my Wizard/Enchantress, so I never bothered to get my Angel Herald as to keep the Knave of Wands Herald [+5%Arcane Mgk, +5%Arcane Regain]).

I don't know why HP never bothered to fix that. If you already know this, then kudos to you.
