Spoiler: The final battle... new information, I think.

Post by Rav »

The first time I beat Malak, he went through all his recharges before I got him, because I didn't have any offensive powers that could harm the dead jedi.

I replayed that battle yesterday, and I found out you can use force breach on the containers to free the jedi and let them become one with the force. It was the LS thing to do really!

I couldn't find this information with a search, so I thought I'd share it.

Force Breach is a Force power that interupts all other powers in use at the time. It is a technique employed at times when a foe is preparing for an attack by disrupting their concentration and scrambling their focus. Force Breach is not a widely known Force power, but is used by Jedi in ancient times.

Never tried Force Breach before. I'll take that into consideration. Always thought that (spoilers, please highlight)

you need either Force Lightning or Throw lightsaber to disable them. I use the latter of course, since I didn't invest in any dark side powers at that time.

I was playing a consular, and I was annoyed by jedi that cast force immunity. Force breach gets rid of that, so that's why I picked it. I also expected it to be handy in the final battle, but I didn't expect it to be as handy other thatn disrupting Malak's force immunity.

I always used force lightning...maxing that ability when combined with force wave is a deadly combo, especially if you have more than one jedi doing it. Multiple enemies don't last long, and it makes swiss cheese out of the captured jedi at the end.

But I'll have to keep force breach in mind this time around playing. Thanks!

I noticed yesterday that it will also completely replenish your force reserve, which is rather nice as well.

Either way, you won't gain any dark side points when you kill those 'suspended' Jedis or bodies of Jedis not yet reunited with the force or something (Now, what is the proper term again?).
