does ANYONE know where to get this patch?

Post by Kawauso »

I'm hunting for the baldur's gate patch 1.0.2d3, as I need it for tutu. unfortunately, the link the faq provides doesn't download properly, and googling yielded broken downloads, broken links, etc. it all comes around to this question: does anyone know of a non broken website that will let me download, without any screwups or broken stuff, the patch of baldur's gate 1 1.0.2d3?

The problem seems to be that the company who made that patch, Graphic Simulations, took their website down. Unfortunately, every link I could find links directly to GraphSim's website. You'll have to find a website that hosts the file on its own server. If the authors of Tutu insist that you need to install it, I would check with them.

Siberys, that link doesn't work for me.

Not Found
The requested URL /pub/BaldurMac102.sit.bin was not found on this server.

HOWEVER, acting on a hunch, I just checked GraphSim Entertainment's website, and the file can be found there:

Graphsim Entertainment

Where it says "Choose a title for support", all you have to do is select Baldur's Gate/Tales of the Sword Coast (MAC) and the download page will appear. It works!

I don't know if they'll appreciate a direct download link, but here it is:
http://www.graphsim.com/DownloadableIte ... 02.sit.bin

Maybe the reason why all of the old links don't work is because of some Apple/Macintosh licensing issue. Or maybe it's merely because GraphSim renamed their website directory names and that's why the old links are out of date. But if they allow direct download linking to their files, then a lot of people need to update their links.

Did you actually download the file to your hard drive? VersionTracker links to Graphsim's website, but the directory name seems to be invalid.

mmm.graphsim.com/pub/BaldurMac102.sit.bin

(I replaced the w's with m's.)

The new, working link looks like this:

mmm.graphsim.com/DownloadableItems/BaldurMac102.sit.bin
