Hmm, Nice job DW. Already starting to look like normal again. Methinks you've had to deal with this sort of thing before. :D
Yep! :D I figure if you have an SO, 11.5 yr old son, two cats, and a generally chaotic life, you can handle pretty much anything that fate throws your way :D

Problem is.... those cleanup fairies always seem to go on strike whenever they get near the kid's room

LOL, I guess you can go to the well only so many times. Maybe they think it is "cruel and unusual punishment" :D

No kids at present but the 3 cats here are nicknamed, Larry, Moe, & Curly. Need I say more.

Is the crossroad mined also? That would make even better surprise. Few land- and anti-personel mines would do the trick...
Good idea. That would cut down the remaining stragglers who will definitely try to run back to base to report the incident. *Starts planting a few mines near the crossroads, both anti-personnel and anti-vehicle mines*

Now to sit back and watch the fireworks. :)

Des and Kipi,
Er.... how about we try a more peaceful approach first? Mines are nasty, and, as owner of this establishment, I really don't want anyone hurt, accidentally or otherwise ;)

Besides.... they're all liquored up on beer and thus eating out of the palm of my hand. A little charm, alcohol and diplomacy can work wonders in these situations ;)

The fairies aren't the only ones who view said room as cruel and unusual punishment. We generally keep the door closed to avoid having to look at it... and about once a week the child is ordered to clean up his sty. :D

lol at the names! I imagine three cats would definitely be a handful  Are they indoor or outdoor? I hope for your sake that it is the latter. *shudders at the thought of dealing with a litter box employed by three cats* :p

Their nicknames Moe, Larry, and Curly just kind of grew on them. Their real names are "George" the oldest and most curious, "Shadow" the middle who is such a sweetheart and follows you around like a little shadow, and "Riley" the youngest who leads "The life of Riley". George and Riley are inside only. Shadow is inside/outside and he has his own litterbox in the garage (his is soooo easy to keep clean too). George and Riley have two boxes in the laundry room. George is very neat but Riley makes up for it by acting like he is digging to China when burying his "deposits". Swiftering the laundry room for cat sand is a daily chore. But they are a fun crew, enjoy playing, and get along well with each other "usually".

Hmm. I don't trust these Krauts but if you insist, I'll negotiate with them. I just hope they don't take a shot at me because of my uniform. Even when drunk, I remember that they will still fire at Allied troops.

*Reloads Thompson and readies heavy eqiupment* You'll never know when things go awry. I'll get Kipi to come along for this one just in case. *Waits outside the bar*

I wouldn’t recommend you trying some fancy tricks, ‘cause I know some karate gimmicks.
You know I think I have found my room, but would you be so kind to drop your guns and walk towards that door, please?

There is a whole battalion of Krauts in there and they'll shoot you if you're not careful. I advice that you put down that bottle immediately, for your safety. ;)

*Did a barrel roll out of Faberge's way and points Thompson at him* Now, drop the bottle and let's walk in together. I don't want to shoot anybody in case a civilian gets hurt and neither do you want to cause a brawl in there. So, let's walk in as normal with weapons removed and everything will be fine. :)

I am not dropping my bottle, that would be littering, mister.

* Stares little bit confused. *

BRAWL? Oh dear, I’d never ever do something so barbaric, but if you really want to fight, may I suggest a small match of pugilism? Of course if we want to play by the rules, you should have your arms raised as I have, yes that’s good, and now the legs, absolutely outstanding, you’re almost a natural. Now the only thing we need to do is to start mocking each other’s skill in the fine art of poetry.

Of course you can now back off if you want, but if not and you refuse to settle this in the ring, I will have resort to yelling; “Achtung! Achtung!” ;)

What is this place? Is it prudent for a lady to enter without a chaperon?

Sure. You do have on python boots, right?
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

Welcome to the Tavern. I'm the somewhat absentee publican of this fine establishment :D

*Offers drinks on the house to all new patrons*

Oh and ignore the boys playing War Games... I think they've gotten nostalgic for their toy soldiers and are attempting to create reenactments from their childhood games :p :D ;)

I think it is safe for a lady to enter without a chaperon.... To the best of my knowledge there are no sordid basements where evil things lurk.. And as far as the motley clientele goes, always remember that a sharp-healed kick where it counts usually settles down any potential problems :p
Actually, they seem reasonably well-behaved, so you shouldn't have any difficulties.

@Fable,
Trying to scare the customers again? :D

You haven't, as far as I'm aware anyway, stepped in here before. So of course you do! :)

There's tea, coffee, fruitjuice and pop as well, since I seem to remember you aren't of drinking age. Though, suit yourself in your choice of beverage ;)
