I remember from somewhere (was it BG2?) that specialist mages' spells are harder to save against, that enemies get a -1 to save against that specialist's school (as in Invokers' enemies save at -1 against invocation spells like Fireballs, etc.). Is this true in IWD?
Or is the only advantage from specialist mages that they get an extra spell per level?
Also, in IWDII, there is Difficulty Class, which affects saving throws of enemies depending on spell level and ability modifier? Is there any such thing in IWD?
Thanks!
Specialist mages get +1 bonus to save against?

1) Specialist mages' spells aren't harder to save against, neither in IWD nor BG nor any other IE game.
ToEE is the only crpg I remember doing this.
2) The extra spell per level is the only advantadge.
3)There's nothing similar to IWD2 difficulty classes in IWD. The difficulty to save vs spells is only affected by the victim's saving throws and eventually by some bonusses mentioned in the spell's description.

Oh OK, thanks. Was it in BG2 where specialists get +1 bonus to save (themselves) against their own school?
