Bolvyn Venim (Main Quest and Redoran spoiler)

I have looked through the data base and on Google, but haven't yet found an answer to my question. Maybe, there is no problem, and hence no information
Anyway, I decided to join House Redoran with one of my characters because I've never done so and because I am using a couple of LGNPC mods that make the Vivec Redoran Canton and Indarys Manor more interesting.

In order to ascend to the top dog position in House Redoran you must duel Bolvyn Venim to the death. Becoming Redoran Hortator as part of the Main Quest requires a similar fatal confrontation with Venim.

Is there any kind of conflict here, or an order in which these should be tackled? I'm assuming that if you've killed Venim in one duel it will automatically count for the other as well, but if anyone has more information, I'd appreciate a heads up.

im pretty sure on my character i waited until both quests both told me to kill him so i did kill him and got both journal entrys at the same time, but you will want a backup save incase it doesnt actually work(i have x box so im not sure if mods cause glitches once in a while or not...)

If you are the biggest cheese in a house, you will be made hortator by Sarethi/Aryon/'Uncle Crassius'... I think there is a conflict if you become hortator first though...
