2 person party

Post by SHusky57 »

I want to do a monk, and then perhaps a Barbarian 1-2/DruidX or a Barbarian1-2/ClericX.
What would be the advantages of a Druid over a cleric, and vice versa.
The reason I want to do one level of Barbarian is for the movement speed increase.

Also, could a pure monk, have enough power (With buffs and healing from the priest/druid) to tank effectively?

I just want to try something different.

I played a 2-character party: a pair of female drow...

1) Fighter 4 / Monk 3 / Rogue 3 / Demarch of Mask 10
2) Stormlord of Talos 1 / Sorcerer 20

(the levels differ because the sorcerer had a habit of avoiding death, along with that Adventurer's book he read)

It was good, but I made the mistake with my 1st character - I should have ignore Weapon Specialization (4 fighter levels for +2 damage), which would have meant I could have reduced the Monk and Rogue levels for Heal and Divine Shell spell.
Also note that my Sorcerer only picked the Talos level for electricity resistance against Will O'Wisps (how sad is that) - but at least could cast the Raise Dead/Resurrection scrolls I picked up, for the tank who successfully cheated life on a few occasions.

What made it more difficult was that I had NO Haste, Invisibility, Stoneskin, or Cold spells (and only 1 electric spell). And only the tank had Mirror Image and Blur...
