Strength Does Boosts Ninjitsu's damage.
I have two different saved files of my Lv25_Female_Elf Rogue/Mage/Shugenja/ Enchantress...one with Strength of 40, the other with Strength of 80. My Ninjitsu level is at 7. I noticed the overall damage generally was higher by 2-3 damage points. Now, I'm not sure as to whether Strength raises Ninjitsu's level damage...or Ninjitsu's base melee damage. I'm thinking a level 1 Ninjitsu's damage is what Strength bases itself on. And a level 1 Ninjisu is like a weapon with a 2-5 damage on it. So at +100%bonus damage, an extra 2-5 damage would get added onto the unarmed Ninjitsu attack, in my theory. Now normally, an unarmed attack without Ninjitsu only does 1-2 base damage with no damage bonus modifiers...and that can be purposely illustrated when you use Ninjitsu when your walking backwards and attacking. So strength points even help on the back-attack...because the backwards-attack...is not a Ninjitsu attack (even if you have Ninjitsu)...it is considered as a normal attack. You don't get those free bonus ADV points into ninjitsu if you use the backwards attack on enemies.
So, based on my findings/observations, I would determine that Strength does actually help raise the damage. And it is useful to raise Strength as near to 100 or better for more damage. I also find that raising Intelligence is also a good way to raise Ninjitsu's damage indirectly...as it cheapens the ADV costs. Also, wait for your 3rd tier monk/ninjalord/kenjasai, before boosting Ninjitsu past level 7...as to get the most bang for your ADV points.
