Drop Outs

Post by David Coath »

Dear All,

My son Alex and I have started a new Baldurs Gate 2 game and are having a problem with the multiplayer game dropping me out.

We have a 2 player game going . Me as an undead hunter paladin and he as a mage fighter thief. Because we only have 2 people your inventory gets filled up quickly.

To help we loaded ease of use and have purchased the potion bag from the potion seller in the left hand end of the Bridge district , near Nebs house.

The problem we are having is that as soon as Alex users the potion case I get dropped out of the game.

Any thoughts??

Yours

David

Does your son also get dropped out from the game? If so, I'd have to say that it is most likely an error within the module, centered on that item. If that really is the case I would suggest that you reinstall the module or get rid of it completely. If you choose the latter, I suggest that you pick a container and keep items in it, as they stay there for as long as you want.

Do you play through TCP/IP on a your network or do you play on GameSpy Arcade?

Dear Crenshinibon

Thanks for your help.

The crash out is limited to my PC. Strangly when I view Alex's inventory it has a blank space were the case should be

We use the TCP/IP connection

Just a thought, do you both have the mod installed?

Dear Bayle

Yes we both have ease of use in and both have the same set of options selected in this tool.

For instance the endless scoll case is working well.

We have dumped the potion case now so will likely head off and get a bag of holding from further in the game

Thanks for your help

David
