Soloing Fighter/Mage/Thief
Soloing Fighter/Mage/Thief
How should you be able to heal yourself when playing Fighter/Mage/Thief solo?
I have activated Rest Untill healed and either I have a bug or I think you gotta have an healer in the party for this to work.
I cant manage with just potions.

You can pickpocket a ring of regeneration from Ribald in the adventurer's mart. In you beginning you can use your "draw upon holy might" special ability just before resting, you'll regenerate far more HP that way during your rest. Later you can abuse spells like "Tenser's Transformation" for healing, vampiric spells like "llarloch's minor drain" or "vampiric touch" can can also be abused even cast on yourself or summons.
If you're really in a pinch, solo's have so much money so quickly, you can just pay a cleric in any temple to heal you.
I agree with kmonster though, suck down a few Potions of Thievery and pickpocket Ribald. No more problems.

Spoiler coming:
You can also head down the sewers beneath the Temple Area. In the middle of that area you'll find a Rakshasa surrounded by kobolds. Once they're all dead you can loot the Claok of the Sewers from the Rakshasa. It will allow you to polymorph into a troll. Then just stand around a bit while regenerating.

Ring of regeneration mainly. You'll also have lots of potions of extra healing, even without buying many. If you play it right though, you won't take much damage anyway. I'm thinking Full plate +2 for fighting archers, robe of vecna with stoneskin+blur+mirror image for groups with spellcasting backup (and backstabbing of course).

Also, if whenever you can get a Rod of Ressurection, get it.
Even if you're soloing, it's very useful as it fully heals you.

There is also a stone that can be worn in the helmet slot that also allows for regeneration. Wearing that stone along with the Ring of Regeneration will help out a lot.
Great spirits have always found violent opposition from mediocre minds. The latter cannot understand it when a person does not thoughtlessly submit to hereditary prejudices but honestly and courageously uses their intelligence.
After a while, your spell protections and stealth will keep you unharmed for the most part, and all battles you will fight will be all or nothing's. But, untill then, the obviously best way is to pickpocked Ribald for the ring of regenration. That, or solo kangaxx with your imbalanced tripple-class char.
Actually, if you're wearing multiple regeneration items, only the best one will work. They'll only stack if they regenerate at the same rate.DaemonJ wrote:There is also a stone that can be worn in the helmet slot that also allows for regeneration. Oh, come now, the Fighter/Mage/Thief isn't imbalanced. Every character can kick each other's ass, depending on how yo train them and what equipment you use.
In my opinnion, this class combination is almost the same as a bard. Of course each class has it's own advantages and disadvantages. The lich shouldn't really pose a problem, once again, given that you have the proper equipment and if you don't mind taking advantage of a bug, you can score yourself two certain rings.
