Anytime I rest or wait, my game crashes. 1. Is there anything I can do to fix this, and 2. I play on the PC version, so is there a console command that will set the clock to a certain time? I relly don't want to have to actually WAIT for up to 23 hours for any specific time to roll around.

This happened to me once before, and although I can't remember what the problem with me was, I have a few good ideas:
1.Get TESTOOL, which you can use to clean up any mods you might have running, and it will probably make them all moreso compatible with one another.
2. Reinstall your game.
3. Write down any messages the game displays before it crashes (if any at all), and find out what they mean. If you're running mods, it may be a hint as to which one to modify/turn off.

Of course, be sure to back up files before doing any of this
Get up, stand up. Come on, throw your hands up.
If you've got the feeling, Jump across the ceiling.

Or you could rest for 23 hours.

you do know that it doesnt ACTUALLY take 23 hours right? its alot less time, and you dont even notice the time go by if you're doing quests or just doing something besides standing there...but you will want to have a game that you can rest in...seeing how you cant get up levels without sleeping...

Okay, I think the problem is a little worse than I originally thought...I used the mod "Sheograth's Top" to speed up the in-game time, so I could do my quest. Now, when I try to leave the particular area I'm in, my game crashes like it did before. When it crashes, the screen shows a dimmed version of what is supposed to be there, freezes for a minutes, then crashes. Anyone know what's going on?

have you tried starting a new file and seeing if its just your character thats corrupted or the game? if its the game, youll probably want to uninstall everything(including mods) and reinstall them

umm some games say you can keep your save files or delete them, im not sure if this is the same, if not maybe you can save a backup file on a disk and put it back in the morrowind folders when youve installed it again...im not 100% though so dont blame anything on me if it goes wrong

Just click and drag your save game directory to another area on your hard drive, and proceed with uninstallation.

**spoilers**

*POSSIBLE SPOILERS*

I've narrowed the problem down to one specific quest I'm involved in. During the main quest in Mournhold, after I've killed the Brotherhood assassins sent to kill Queen Barenziah, the game crashes when I try to leave Barenziah's Chambers. I tried walking out the door; the game crashed. I tried the console command "coc" to several places; the game crashed. Does anyone have any clue? By the way, I have a saved game before I complete the quest, and it works fine. I can leave the room and "coc" to my heart's content. The problem comes up after I kill the assassins.
