Whats the problem with her? I really don't understand her. She's really mean to anyone in the party and allways have to say something mean to them, just now she commented meanly (Is that an word?) at Aerie for no reason at all. But it's not just that she has to be mean to everyone she is with. Some time ago she wanted me to sleep next to her, so I did that, then the next day she talked about how awful it had been sleeping next to me, I really don't get her.
Just some time ago now she told me about how she have killed alot of people when she enterd the human-world and seemed to open up alot, then she tells me that I should "Piss of" since I disgust (Spelling?) her. It would be easier to understand if she was labelled as Chaotic Evil, or Chaotic Neutral, then I would understand that she changes her mind over and over again and act on her on whim the whole time. Being Neutral Evil it means that she is "Willing to do anything do get what she wants no matter what it requires", if I remember the Alignment Information correct, but what would she get from acting like she has an mental sickness? Or do she really have one? I don't know, I just find it strange, I'm just wondering if anyone else is experiencing the same.
(It might just be I who missunderstand some stuff, I'm not that good at English and there is alot of difficult words in BG2).

Whats wrong with Viconia? (Spoiler?)
Tommorow the birds will sing.
Our Vicky
Viconia seems to be in love with you.
Male PCs can have a romance with Vicky and it sounds as if you're pressed the right buttons for her. she is jealous of Aerie - Drow and Elves are not best buddies and wants you for herself.
generally, she IS grouchy and verbally cruel and gets cross if the party is too 'good'. even having her in the party is -2 reaction from other people - there is a lot of racial prejudice in the game.
she is darn good at her job though.

"All the world's a stage and all the men and women merely players"
Viconia is evil and a drow, so she is a mean, foul-tempered person. If you want her in your party, get used to it.
The romance with her is a little bit childish and shallow, but here is the underlying logic. Viconia says, "Trust is for the the foolish and the dead." She is afraid to trust you (and love you) because she's afraid it will make her weak and she will end up losing her life because of it. When you go to the Underdark, you'll probably meet another female drow named Phaere who is a good case study in what happens to a drow who falls in love. Anyway, Viconia deliberately tries to sabotage her relationship with your character by being rude to him and telling him that she has done a lot of horrible things (most of which aren't true). Her intention is to make you scorn her and end the relationship so that she will feel "safe" again. Apparently, she doesn't have the strength to simply end the relationship herself--she wants you to do it.
Later on, if you play your cards right, she might change her mind and try to patch things up with you. In Throne of Bhaal, she might even say she will "try to be a better person" if you can convince her that there are good reasons for being Neutral Good. She'll never be like Drizzt (the drow who renounced the ways of his people and became a famous hero), but I guess that's progress. Personally, I don't think you should go out of your way to make a romance work because I think you should be true to yourself, but that's just me.
In any case, Viconia has a nice portrait and she will sleep with your character, which seem to be the main reasons people find her attractive, and it's always useful to have a Cleric in your party even if the romance doesn't work out.
You might consider romancing Aerie instead of Viconia if you don't like Viconia's personality. None of the romances is all that much fun in Shadows of Amn since the designers seem to think that being involved in a relationship requires you to be a babysitter. Every potential romantic partner has some sort of personal crisis and starts a fight with you because they're overly sensitive about something, but they always come back and try to make up. Everyone says that Aerie whines too much, but in her defense, she has certainly been through the most and she needs your support if you want her to trust you and fall in love with your character. In Throne of Bhaal, the romance with her is actually the most pleasant and the most fun, so your efforts will pay off.

So, she is in love with my character and doesn't want to because trust is foolish and gets you killed. Thats an strange way of thinking, but then I don't understand the drows that good, they act in strange ways.
It is abit annoying so maybe I should pickup another character in my group, but then that one would be alot lower in level and I think that the game is hard enough as it is at the moment.
To be honest do I prefter the interactions with Aerie more than Viconia, she allways seems to have something nice or fun to say. I don't know about the so called "whining", I mean she got her wings cut of and they seemed to mean alot to her, that must be an really traumatic experience.
Romancing, do you have to do something speciall to romance an NPC or do you just travel with them and it happens over time cause it doesn't seem like you can talk to the characters on your own will in BG 2 (Like KOTOR, there you would try to talk with the as much as possible to get to know them).

What might help is not thinking of individual characters as "drows" or "elves," because they weren't written as such. They were written as people anybody might know in the real world, possessing the kinds of issues real people have. This is what makes the party interactions, and even the romantic ones (which I personally loathe) seem realistic. They're the kinds of thing you would expect to encounter as you go through life. Anybody would have to be very sheltered or young not to have run across an extremely traumatized person like Aerie, who still bears the mental scars of past physical abuse; or a sneering, shagging-only person like Viconia, who has trust issues from her past, etc. People do these things to people, and that's why they ring true, in a game like BG2.LittlePanda wrote:So, she is in love with my character and doesn't want to because trust is foolish and gets you killed. To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

Thats true, It's never good to generalize, atleast thats what I'm told, my bad.
About meeting such people, to be honest, I've never met an person that is traumatized or "sneering" in that kind of way in realife, but then again I quess I would count as young in most peoples eyes (What does shelterd mean?).
("Protective Place", I think I get it, if an person would be protected from seeing such things, I've read an book about an Prince who was protected from seeing suffering people because they wanted him to be happy or some such an become the next heir, but after some time he left the palace grounds and saw what the real world was like - One poor person, one sick person and one dying person - and wanted to know the meaning of life if you one day were going to experience the suffering that the people outside the palace ground did, I think it was Budhism and Buddha.)
Just curious - no trying to come out rude - why do you loathe/dislike the romantic ones? I'm just curious.

Off topic but yep, that would be one Siddharta Gautama, otherwise known as Buddha.LittlePanda wrote:("Protective Place", I think I get it, if an person would be protected from seeing such things, I've read an book about an Prince who was protected from seeing suffering people because they wanted him to be happy or some such an become the next heir, but after some time he left the palace grounds and saw what the real world was like - One poor person, one sick person and one dying person - and wanted to know the meaning of life if you one day were going to experience the suffering that the people outside the palace ground did, I think it was Budhism and Buddha.)
