Archer build

Post by GawainBS »

Hello guys

I'm thinking about replaying Lionheart. Like the title says, I'm considering an archer. I finished the game once with a onehander, and got pretty far (Catacombs, IIRC) with an unarmed character, but it played too much like the onehander.
Are there any pitfalls I should be aware of when I pick Feralkin for my race as an archer? Which Magic skills do you guys advice? I was thinking of Divine Fortitude and Divine Protection. Not sure about Divine Protection. Is there some other nice Magic branch?
As an afterthought, I considered playing the character as a twohander, but that will wind up pretty much the same as the onehander, no?

Thanks in advance!

Well, after reading up, I decided on Ranged Combat, Tribal Protection and I'm still doubting on my 3rd Tag Skill... Another Magic Branch? Which? Or Evasion? Is it worthwhile? Maybe Lockpicking or Diplomacy, but more than half of this game is hack-and-slash, so I feel those are wasted...

Well, the lockpicking would come in handy since there are a lot of locked thingies in the game...but that's if you wanna go purely for the hack and slash thing and don't wanna talk to anyone. Too bad you can't have like x strength and just smash locks with your weapon :(

It's a pity Diplomacy and Thieving are only really useful near the beginning, and that the latter part of the game is pure hack'n slash.
