Elven Maiden - TQ - Possible spoilers

Post by Paradigm »

Hi, new to the forums and just asking for advice and to say greets to all. I am currently stuck on the Elven Maiden quest for the thieves guild, I have framed the poor girl for the quest and been given the all clear to see Armand again, and wait in the Garden of Dareloth for him to appear at midnight. Unfortunately after three days of waiting at times spanning form 7 till 4, he has not shown. Have I somehow broken poor Christophes will to appear, and if so, how do I make him come back. All thanks to assistance.

If you want the spoilers:
Spoiler
Armand is in hiding, a warrant has been issued for his arrest. Lex believs Christophe to be the one who stole the artifact you procured. A beggar should tell you to talk to Methredhel, thats all Ill say, the rest is for you.
If God did not exist, it would be necessary to invent him.

Genicee, highlight the upper post, it'll solve the problem for you.
And He whispered to me in the darkness as we lay together, Tell Me where to touch you so that I can drive you insane; tell Me where to touch you to give you ultimate pleasure, tell Me where to touch you so that we will truly own each other. And I kissed Him softly and whispered back, Touch my mind.

From his post, Phreddie, it seems as though he has done all that, spoken to Lex, watched him arrest the traitor, and Lex and the guards have gone. Which means Christophe SHOULD appear at midnight as usual. If he HAS done all that, and Christophe is not showing up, then he has a real problem.

I'm having this problem as well. II've done the entire quest (including the spoiler explained above). Said set up was done, she was arrested.

And as we follow our lovely green arrow (I'm using Xbox 360, not the PC version) we are supposed to meet Armond in the garden again.. We've waited, from noon right after we finished the quest, to 7am the next day. We've even gone off and done some other quests returned to wait for another midnight and wala no Armond..

Please.. please help me find the son of a missing gun.

Have either of you gone to Christophe's house to see if he is at home? (It's next door to the 'for sale' house on the Waterfront). If he is there, it just might trigger the sequence. He won't deal with you in his house; he'll just tell you to meet him in the usual place at the usual time.
If he isn't in his house, you could try hanging in there to see if he returns.

Hm. Another possibility is that he's stuck somewhere - maybe trying to walk through a rock or fallen into the water. In which case it is usually fixed when you exit and reload, so I doubt if that is the problem.

Failing all that, you'll have to resort to a cheat to place him where he should be. I expect someone can provide the cheat for you. Have no idea, myself.

Still Elven Maiden problem (spoiler?)

I did manage to get Mieronymus Lex to agree to talk to Myvryna about the bust, but he won't move!!! He just continues to stand in the garden! I can't get him to search her house. Have I done something wrong? To talke to him about the bust, I boosted his ego to 81 and have boosted my personality (I'm a vampire), but he won't even discuss the subject now, and just keeps telling me that we have to talk to Myvryna.

Elven Maiden Spoiler

I have completed all of it but whille i am waiting for Chirstophe Armand to re-apear at the garden and nothing is able to get him to arrive. Methedral just says im busy and you can't find anything out.
Also next time i got arrested in the imperial city Myvrayna was stood outside of the prison walking home. This i was a day after she was arrested. I mean WTF was going on.
I have waited from 8.30pm - 6:30pm (im a vampire) but still no armand. I have looked around everywere in the city and waterfront district. Also waited in his house for 3days in a row. I thought i may be able to make him appear by stealing some things from his house i picked up his 3 most expensive books.
Took them to ongar and sold them but still no cristophe.

Hello, Forum People!

To jlsheets, I love your avatar graphic! :D

Anyway, if you're playing on PC, the problem is easy to solve. If not, well, I don't know how to resolve it on the X-Box, but if Armande can have the same problems in it, that he does with the PC version, he's probably stuck inside his house, and is walking up against the walls trying to exit the same way he got in. I.e, it is a "clipping" problem I think they call it. On my PC, I've used the Console Code, "TLC", to check out buildings and rocks to search for missing NPC's. Then I activate them with the same code to help them escape and then disable "TLC" for both of us, once we get out from behind the scenes and back on stage. On my brother's X-Box, I've waited for what seems like days if not hours, for someone to overcome such problems, when they are indoors. Sometimes there's a tell-tale clue of such a problem, in that you cane hear them, or see a torch, a sword tip, a shield, a head, a foot, or something else, occassionaly poking out through a rock or wall. Sometimes I think they die if they can't sleep or eat, for sometimes I've found dead people stuck behind the scenes.
Shhh! Be very quiet! I may be sleep writing and sleep reading!
