I'm doing Korgans quest I've almost completed it but shagbag refuses to talk to me above the copper corronet what gives ?? the whole people don't talk to you was a bug I though I had gotten rid off with the patch
edit also I've just noticed this: korgans vision has decreased drasticly it's like he's blind but there is no icon in his portrait that suggests so damn these bugs can get so annoying I'll try reinstalling the game
edit 2: problem 2 is solved I went to the temple and got korgan healed his eyesight has returned but I'd like to know what got him in such a fix was it a bug ?? or is this some kind of undead ability
Annoying bug help

If Shagbag "cannot initiate a dialog, Shagbag appears busy" you can fix that with the with a patch from here: BioWare: Baldur's Gate II Patches
And if you have Throne of Bhaal installed you find the patch here: BioWare: BG II: Throne of Bhaal Patches
But that blind dwarf of yours I don't know what happened. But was his vision decreased as much as from a blind spell or less? And did it have any affect on his THAC0 of ac? Maybe it was a blind or some disease, and the fact that is wasn't showing on the portrait could be a bug.

No the problem was it said shagbag appears to have nothing to say to you I have ToB baldur-dash fix pack and the latest patch this is the first time I've had anything like this happen. to solve this problem I visited all the quest related areas after healing korgan of his blindness and the quest finished properly. After researching the topic a bit it seems that Korgans blindness is due to a bug when you use the level 3 cleric spell holy smite the baldurdash fix pack fixes this apperently. I'm thinking the blindness prevented the dialog between the guardian mummy guarding the tome of kaza and this screwed up shagbags dialog. I'm not willing to test this theory however
hopefully this will be the last time.
on a side note anyway to kill all those damn vampires in firkraags dungeon ?? I'm making a break for him as soon as I get level 9 and I don't have MoD or daystar yet.

Minsc and Korgan both with Protection From Evil and using Beserk / Rage. If Korgan has Azure Edge that will definitely help.Jedi_Sauraus wrote:on a side note anyway to kill all those damn vampires in firkraags dungeon ?? Great spirits have always found violent opposition from mediocre minds. The latter cannot understand it when a person does not thoughtlessly submit to hereditary prejudices but honestly and courageously uses their intelligence.

just got past it. But korgan unfortunatly can't use azure edge; aligment restrigted to good I used him to soak up hits and draw attention to himself, followed by Paladin wielding Azure edge OMG for the price of 3000 give or take it ownz vampires they all died in 1 hit even the ones that gave 18k exp it was a massacre and they suddenly spawned while I was walking around. they didn't appear so I went to kill the troll cook, then on the way back they spawned, I was caught flat footed. ;-) oh well my paladin now has Carsomyr, and Aire has Firkraag to her name
