Brujah or Gangrel? (perhaps the Nosferatu?)

Post by Lunaida »

Which one will be a better Anarch?
So far, I have completed the game three times (no cheating!) with:

~Female Ventrue : LaCroix Ending
~Female Malkavian : No Alliance Ending
~Male Toreador : Kuei-Jin Ending

Now I am playing with a Tremere character and go through the Camarilla Ending.

However, after finishing this one, I want to have an Anarch Ending, so I was wondering which clan would make the best Anarch: Brujah or Gangrel?
Do the Brujah have special dialogues and attitudes with the Anarchs (or with Jack)?
Because I think that the Gangrel might present a better variety compared to the Brujah who seem to be closer to the clans that I have already played with! lol
So, who do you think will be the best Anarch? ;)

P.S. My main goal is to see all the endings rather than playing all the clans, but I was wondering are the Nosferatu worth playing the game for another round, even after you have seen all the endings?
P.S.S. In case I choose Brujah or Gangrel for the Anarch Ending, will the other clan be worth playing the game for another round?
P.S.S.S. I am not in favor of a very combat related game.

Thanks :)

Brujah would be better.Because Brujahs are idealist but Gangrels are only outlanders.

Play Brujah, have some problems with La Croix and try to be rude ;) .I tried and it was really funny...

Ive passed the game about 7-8 times, been thruogh all endings and alll the clans.

I can directly say that the gangrel isn't that much liked by anyone but Becket.
Brujah is liked and accepted by the anarch's, mostly because almost all the anarchs is BRUJAH.

Try beeing a brujah, talk as much and often as you can with Nines and Damsel and telll damsel that you want to be with the anarchs.

She says that she wants you to stay close to LacroiX and tell her everything new you learn about him and his plans.

Do every quest for LaCroix and talk to damsel after everyone of them.

After that you are respected by nines and the rest of the anarchs and then you'll have the best ending.

Good luck.

Thank you!
I think I'll play the Anarch Ending with a Brujah then. ;)

Becket likes Gangrels?
Then I'll have to play a round with a Gangrel too! lol

^^

Yeah, Becket teaches you scholarship and upgrades one of your disciplines if youre nice to him, though he will only teach you scholarship if you have below 3 points in it., I think he will teach you that when youre doing the "Museum quest". The discipline upgrade is later in the game when you have retrieved the Ancaran sarcophagus and stands with him in LaCroix' office :)

Good luck mate :D

Whether or not you play for the anarch ending, Nosferatu is worth playing because it has the second most unique gameplay (after the Malkavians). I know you said you're goal is rather playing all of the endings, than all of the clans, but I think you're missing out on something if you never play a nossie.

Moreover the Nossie have a decidedly sneaky streak and are less combat oriented as Grangel and certainly Brujah.

And the scholarship upgrade from Beckett is for any clan, not just Gangrel.

Well I second brujah. Not only do I love their disciplines, but being a loud rebel is fun.

I'm currently playing gangrel, so I haven't tested their discipines yet but apart from animalism they seem pretty dull so I'm mostly a skill monkey (firearms 10 melee 9 when just starting chinatown).

Nosferatu was disappointing. It's just to easy to sneak around (even with rather low stealth) which means you don't really need the sewers for anything but travel. Stealth kills are fun but I had alot more fun with my Malkav game. Some NPC reactions to your character are pretty cool (especially VV), and you can eventually get your own nossie haven, but otherwise they suck. Who wants to be a hideous monster anyway?

:P Becket is Gangrel

After the Gangrel removed themselves from the Camerilla sometime ago, they haven't had much of a home anywhere. Though my poor memory for dates, I don't remember is this game came out after or before that. (Or maybe led up to them leaving, I dunno, I'm babbling)

if you want best advancement, I'd choose Gangrel for their free help from Beckett - worth a fair few XP.

however, I enjoyed playing Brujah more - I found the gangrel beasty disciplines less enjoyable in combat - I prefer a katana to claws. I think gangs have the bloodsucking bats, which I did like. they're like blood salvo but better.

tremere are my favourite - bloodbuff sorts out the 4 point problem - and fae charm is always my first purchase in chinatown.

I am playing the Nosferatu right now, and you are right, I don't use the sewer unless I need to travel.
I enjoyed people's reaction to my Malkavian more than their reaction to my Nosferatu, then again I haven't finished yet, so I hope I will have more fun in the future!
(My Nosferatu is weakest in the combat too! :( )
