First, plain vanilla 1.2 patch, OK?

I've been playing around for quite a while, and I've done Grunfeld Bach any number of times. The problem is, as foes go, he's proving to be far and away the toughest. I always take extremely decent damage from him, and use up a heck of a load of ammo. The only easy solution to him that I've found is to have a ranged skill of 10, in which case a Jamie Sue can take him in about seven shots, holy aura or not. The trouble is, I have to cheat to get my ranged skill that high by that time.

Everybody else has a weak spot. The serial killer, Ming, even the Sherrif. Bach has to have one, too. Does anybody know what it is? That bloody long gun of his is starting to grate on me. It's not so much the noise as the holes in my body. They itch.

Grunfeld Bach has no Achilles heal that I am aware of. I usually just use Blood Buff and a katana, and weave my way through the various obstacles in the pit you fight him in. He reloads his sniper rifle just as slowly as you would, so if you can duck behind a box or one of his wooden practice targets and make them take a bullet for you, you've got a few seconds to close the distance before he can reload.

You'll only get one or two hits in with a melee weapon before he uses Sheild of Faith and teleports away, but with a katana and Blood Buff active those hits will do decent damage.

This is the second time I've read that sniper rifles work well against him. I've never tried that approach myself. I don't often go for ranged builds in this game.

I was afraid it was going to be something like that. Never tried Gruenfeld with a Katana before. That might be interesting. These days I just usually sneak around and burn off about 300 rounds of handgun ammo taking judicious long-range pot-shots.

With decent soak traits, like armour, active fortitude, high stam... You'll pretty much laugh off Bach's pathetic human pea shooter. Sure, it's a blood hungry tactic, but thats the last person you need to put into an early grave in that area. Pull out which ever weapon you enjoy the most, scoff as you heal almost as fast as he shoots, wander up and add some more iron to his diet.
I was Diablorised once. I got better.
