Sand People Clothing failing

Post by martix »

Well It failed. But not in the way mentioned in the "Bugs and Workarouns" section. The solution there also doesn't work either.
In my case I got in once succesfully, then damn antivirus causes crash and I load game in front of Enclave entry with the clothing already on.
Is there any way to fix this, so sand people are not hostile to me?

I was thinking something - it seems logical that this is governed by some switch or number(boolean or integer value). I do have Kotor savegame editor, I've been looking at entries. But they aren't making much sense except that the "tat_" prefix clearly means Tattoine connected entries.

If anyone has any idea how to fix this or if I'm on the right track with the above suggestion, please post.

I can't quite recall how I got into the Sand People base without getting attacked but I do recall that you have to make sure that the stats on the sand people's suit does not have a dash in the clothing defense. If the clothing show those dashes instead of numbers, they (the sand people) will guarantee attack you. If it shows some numbers on the clothes, you will not get attacked.

I hope this helps. :)

Uhm, they offer no defense...
Anyway - here's things I discovered about this issue.
1. Initially(when it worked) I had 2 sand people clothes together. Now I have 2, but seperate, each taking its own slot.
2. When I walk to the enclave without the clothes on, turrets won't shoot at me.
3. Using editor to reset everything about dune seas and sand peoples to values before dealing with that matter won't do.
4. Now sand people corpses don't have clothing anymore.
5. Fighting sand people in front of the turrets, clothes or no clothes doesn't make them shoot you. Going in and out of enclave does.

Edit:
Oh my god!!!!
What the hell is wrong with this game? I got tired stalling at this point, heck, I'll just do it only possible way. So I decided I go in the hard way, lazers blazing, sabers slashing. I didn't even bother with clothing. And what happens! It suddenly fixed itself... erm, I don't understand this!

If the clothes offer no defense, that means that the sand people inside the enclave will attack you. If I recall correctly, I got 2 sets of sand people clothing the last time I checked (then again, I could be wrong). One of them have no stats and the other have some numbers, I think. As I said before, wear the clothes with numbers or try reloading the game to see if anything helps or not. I also find it strange as to how I managed to get in without any problems at all.
