Soundcard Drivers?

whenever i try to play a song in windows media player i get a message saying that the drivers for my soundcard are not installed. help, id like the free option (there's always a free option)

What sound card do you have? If you don't know, go to Start >>> Run >>> type in DxDiag and hit enter, then finally go to the "Sound" tab.
