Grout's Mansion
Grout's Mansion
I was going through the mansion when i noticed the bookshelf on the top level to the left of the candles you have to pull for the riddle (the second time) has those blue glowy things on it. I can only see this when my inspection is quite high. I was wondering if anyone knows what this is supposed to show me.

My guess is that there's something there you should check out. What could happen? Save before you go in, find out what's going on, and if it kills you, just restore and proceed. It's a bookshelf. How bad could it be? Martha Stewart on Etiquette? Einstein teaches Ballet? Generally the blue sparklies are quite benign, though - they've never actually killed me outright.Superliz wrote:I was going through the mansion when i noticed the bookshelf on the top level to the left of the candles you have to pull for the riddle (the second time) has those blue glowy things on it. Hmm. Troublesome. No indicators at all, eh? This might be similar to some others I've heard of. I heard about the blue sparklies in the bookcase a long time ago somewhere around here, so I knew it was there, but I don't recall what it was. I think a book or something of that nature.Superliz wrote:sorry if i wasnt clear before (my mind is a little scrambled this evening). i'm asking because ive tried to get some sort of action to come up for it, and i cant.
Perhaps stand right in front of the sparklies, but don't touch, put your cross-hairs on whatever it is, then save the game, quit VTMB, load the game, and try again. Sometimes that works. No promises.

It opens the secret door so you don't have to mess with the candles. It also opens up a trap door so you don't have to jump over the railing to get down.Superliz wrote:I was going through the mansion when i noticed the bookshelf on the top level to the left of the candles you have to pull for the riddle (the second time) has those blue glowy things on it.
