Magic missile wand
My mage is currently using the magic missile wand I have just found. But there is something weird about it...it's use is unlimited. I can use it all day long whenever I want to, and in it's description there isn't anything referring to it's charges. I think that wasn't the way magic missile wand worked in BG2. So tell me is this how it's supposed to work, cause I feel like I am cheating (after all, a lvl 1 mage can only cast one magic missile once a day, a bit unfair when compared to this don't you think?).

Where did you find it?
Not sure if it matters, but the particular Wand of MM that Imoen starts with will eventually disappear after so many uses. I wonder if another Wand of MM, found elsewhere, has an unusual amount of charges.
I've never used any other Wands of MM. I didn't use any scrolls, wands, or potions in my game. I kept saving them for a really really hard battle, and then the game was over.

Why is it that whenever I finally get around to playing a new game for the first time,
I feel like playing Baldur's Gate for the second time...

I believe that there are charges for BGI but you can't view them. If you try to sell it not the price go use it a couple of times and check the price again at the same vender and it will be worth less. Eventually the wands just disappear when all used up.

It's finally exhausted and it dissapeared. Guess it didn't have unlimited charges after all  . It just doesn't have limited uses per day like some other charms, but limited uses in general, meaning you could use all the charges in one day if u wanted to (like I have).

Yeah I remember noticing that too. If you have two of the same type of wand, check out how much a store will buy each of them for. The wand with the lesser amount of remaining charges is not worth as much.Jordoo wrote:I believe that there are charges for BGI but you can't view them. Use one of the wands, then go back and check out how much that store will buy it for. As the wand's remaining charges are decreased, the wand's value is decreased. IIRC, a wand with only 1 charge left is worth 1 GP from a store.
If you sell it cheap, then you can only buy it back for much more than you got selling it, because the store recharges the wand. IIRC, a fully charged wand has charges in the double-digit range (20 or 50 or something like that).
