Charm

Post by xchagger »

I rerolled a Sorcerer last night (8th char and counting - sigh) that specializes in Enchantment. My general plan is to convert as much of the enemy as possible to be on my side. Problem though is that when one of the Charmed humaniods kill one of their comrades (MUHAHAHAHAHA) I dont get any XP... It makes sense I suppose, but this is obviously a major drawback for my leveling... So do you reckon this is a bug or is it working as intended? :(

Technically, in DnD rules you should get XP for that. Although, it would be lower than you killing the enemy yourself, as you had help from another involved on it. However, I am assuming that there may have been no way to script it so that you would get XP from charmed people helping you. If so, then it would be working properly, although not in your favor. I could be wrong though.

"Oh, so I can crate you and hide you in the warehouse at the end of Raiders?"
"So funny, kiss me funny boy!" / *Sprays mace* " I know, I know, bad for the ozone"

If you like to charm your opponents i REALLY recomend a warlock with high charisma. You can add charm as an eldricht feat and charm as many enemies as you like. It is quite fun to charm about half of them and just stand and watch them go mideavil on each other....to ban on the xp though. The warlock can use his (her) "spells" an unlimitied ammout of times :) I don't know how well it works on higher levels yet but as of lvl 11 it works allmost everytime.
