Er... well this game does not seem as straight-forward as the first one. It kinda, um, more dark and confusing - as storyline and as game realization.
So any way, here's a couple of questions for 'ya:
1. Are there any love affairs in it(I'm playing male right now). Kreia is out of the question, Visas I think too, but what about the Handmaiden and Mira - is there gonna be anything interesting.
2. Where do I fing HK-47's chassis?
3. I left Nar-Shadaa with a couple of strangely incomplete quests. Which were - a)the pazaak player and the thugs, b) some dancers quest c) the one about unifying a war vetera with his refugee wife. Any hints on how to complete them?
4. (A bit of spoilers would be intact but not too much) Do any of the previous characters appear in any significant role. (Bastila was in a holo in the droid, Carth made a brief appearance as an admiral on Telos, nothing past that though.)
Questions about the game
Yes, the main character will have love interests in KOTOR 2. (Spoilers, please highlight)martix wrote: 1. Are there any love affairs in it(I'm playing male right now). Kreia is out of the question, Visas I think too, but what about the Handmaiden and Mira - is there gonna be anything interesting.
Spoiler
Since you're playing male, it will be Mira, Visas and the Handmaiden. This feature is rather incomplete so don't expect much from the romance.

The quests you mentioned can be completed. Please refer to the walkthrough at this site. None of them are bugged. One of the bugged quest I know is the Telos fuel shortage quest.martix wrote: 3. I left Nar-Shadaa with a couple of strangely incomplete quests. The characters from KOTOR 1 that do make an appearance in KOTOR 2 are only Bastilla and Carth. Their roles are very limited in KOTOR 2 so they don't play a large role in the story progression of this game.martix wrote: 4. So, what if:
1. I missed fighting the HK-50 droids on nar shadaa(were too tough for poor T3)? Where do I get (I suspect its the chassis since its the only component I don't have)?
2. Pazaak Den: Geredi quest - how do I complete it, I have done something, now it seem it can't be completed. The guy doesn't give me any talk options, and I can't turn back from the thugs, its hanging right now.
3. Intergalactic Reunicitation - I haven't killed the two excange thugs the first time, now(I met them before meeting these with the husband and wife). Even after I kill then nothing changes now.
???

I recall someone mentioning that you can talk to Kodin on Nar Shadaa for any missing HK droid parts.
As for those two quests, have you tried reloading a previous save to see if it works? It could probably be a bug or something.martix wrote: 2. While romance may not be an option there is a new option for your allies. *Spoilers* Highlight to read You can now lead several mebers of your party to become jedi if you chose. This is done the same way that romance was done, simply by putting the effort in and asking them about themselves. And so on as their personal narratives get more in depth.

On the romance side - like you said, the game's darker than KOTOR I, so the romance is slightly more complex. Basically, the way I read it, is that your character the Exile has an immense influence that draws other people towards them. Consequently, your crew members all feel strongly towards you - however, because of the deep internal problems the Exile is struggling with (like the Ithorians mention on Telos), it can never work out as a proper 'romance'.
There was posted here somewhere a while back some missing dialogue concerning how the romance plots were going to work out if the game was fully completed - the dark side option was going to be quite dark indeed.

Well, thanks, I never really understood that game.
I completed it now.
1. Mira always shrugged me off.
2. Visas had a pathetic effort at this.
3. Handamaiden began well and went nowhere.
4. Teaching jedi-ism - only atton and only once did I have a conversation on that topic.
5. The whole game was confusing.
6. The story wasn't that great/grand either. At least to the point the game brought it, but it has some great potential(the whole "True sith still havent revealed themselves, great war coming, needs great savior/conqueror).
7. Bah, Obsidian need better writers(maybe they aren't paid enough
)
8. Now... I'm gonna see if Darkstar One is better than Freelancer(but I don't have much hopes about it either, I want Freelancer 2)

Quite a lot of things were rushed in the game, including the plot and the overall design of the game. The plot of KOTOR 2 wasn't bad at all. It could have been better if Lucasarts didn't rush the development of the game in order to meet the holiday release. As a result, there are plot holes here and there and it really undermined the overall playing experience.martix wrote:Well, thanks, I never really understood that game.

It's not like they need better writers. If I recall correctly, I read somewhere that the writer for KOTOR 2 is the same writer who wrote the story for Planescape: Torment, a game that a lot of people liked. He was a good writer, yes. Pity that the numerous plot holes that ruined the whole story.martix wrote: 7. Bah, Obsidian need better writers(maybe they aren't paid enough)

All the humans characters except Mandalore (including one you haven't ever seen, if you only played as a male) can be turned into Jedi. It only happens if you have a high positive or negative INF with them, though.

I agree the story didn't have a wonderful ending. However, it may not be as confusing as you found it: in order to understand what's going on properly, you need to talk a LOT to both the party members and various NPCs. If you don't explore their conversations completely, you won't have a clue...(I didn't the first time, as I always picked 'shut up and die')
Now... I'm gonna see if Darkstar One is better than Freelancer
I would advocate playing KOTOR2 at least once more, if you've only done it once, not least because there are 2 party member you've never seen yet (spoilers:play the opposite sex and alignment to get them)
As for your queries about unfinished sidequests:
a)the pazaak player and the thugs
There's no LS way to do this. If you've obtained the quest by speking to the thug who gave it to you, you either have to do something DS that gets someone killed, or you are left with it unfinished.
b) some dancers quest
Someone has to dance for Vogga, as the title indicates. (spoilersYou ned to speak to the man in the cantina who was auditioning dancers. If you are male, you will need to have Handmaiden in your party at the time you speak to him, otherwise you won't be able to do it. Ask Handmaiden to dance for him. You will then be able to rob Vogga's vault of some leetish loot.
c) the one about unifying a war veteran with his refugee wife.
This one you can get stuck with if you decide to do half of it LS and half of it DS. If I get the quest and offer to help, then kill one of them but not the other, I often find that I get stuck with the quest. In fact it's non-obvious how to complete this quest to the LS (spoilers:To get Aaida back to her husband, you HAVE to pick a fight with the gate guards at the entrance to the refugee sector before you tell her that her husband is waiting for her. Although it's not obvious, telling her to go back to her husband without killing them is the DS path (the gate guards kill her). This is easy to miss, because most lightsiders first time through the game will probably tell the gate guards that they are not looking for a fight...
