Hey, I killed a mage...

Post by HeyIKilledAMage »

Yeah so I killed a mage when I was completing the thieves guild question (Why'd the ****y have to tell on me?!) and now I got kicked outa the mages guild. The stupid *** whatever wants me to get a bunch of daedra hearts and vampire dust but I don't know where to fight vampires and daedra's... So where can I find these to farm em up? Thanks

You can get Daedra hearts easily by killing Daedra on the planes of Oblivion search Xiavi (the large blue humanoid creatures) bodies after you kill them and take thier hearts. Vampire dust is a little harder to find They dwell in mines ayleid ruins and forts. There is a faster way to complete the quest but its cheating.

You can duplicate any Item in your inventory (except quest Items)

1. make sure you have a bow and 2-3 different sets of arrows eg iron, steel dawrfen.
2. equip your bow and a set of arrows.
3. fully draw back your bow and press B to enter you inventory
4. Highlight a set of arrows your'e not using and equip them twice (a message will pop up saying you cannot change weapons whilst attacking)
5. go to the item you want to duplicate and drop it
6. then go back and to your weapon inventory and drop any other set of arrows that arent equipped.
7. Exit youre inventory and bingo!

the number of duplicated items you will have depends on the number arrows you drop

A little Tip. do this in the corner of a well lit room, NOT on the side of a mountain or even a gentle slope for that matter.

But it's more fun to kill them.

And anyway, you'd have to HAVE a Daedra Heart and a Vampire Dust in you inventory to do it Eazy_D's way

Thanks for the help! Could you point me in the direction of where any mines or ruins are located?

@IKilledAMage:

SPOILER - highlight to read:
Spoiler
Ok - trying for vampire locations near Imperial City (did you know there are some in the city Sewers, btw? Try the manhole in Elven Gardens or the Temple District):

Due West of the H in The Green Road and keep going till you find Fort Carmala, almost due South of Chorrol.

Memorial Cave is on the opposite shore from the Arcane University, almost due East, but a little tiny bit South.

And if you don't want to go into the Oblivion Gates for Daedra hearts yet, you might find Sardavar Leed quite interesting. It is almost due South of the university, over the water and cross country a little way.
That'll do you, I should think.

Yeah, Eazy_D, it is! But I never had to do that particular Quest - I'm always darn careful who I kill, LOL! I found 'em by exploring. ;)
