Dual class Swashbuckler/Mage

Post by sexymonkeys »

I hate to make my first post on these forums asking for assistance but I'm in need of urgent help.

I have a Dual classed Swashbuckler/Mage and I noticed after my thief was made active, that my thieving abilities such as pick pocket, open locks, and find traps were much lower and Hide in shadows/Stealth/e.t.c were all on 0, when they were originally 10~15.

Does dualling to mage cause this or is it a bug of some kind? Because if it is a bug I think I'll have to edit it with shadowkeeper.

Thanks in advance and nice forums you got here.

It's not normal. However, it might not be a bug either. Maybe the last time you checked, you were wearing (or under the influence of) something that improved your dexterity/thieving, or an elixier that improves thief skills.
For example there's a pair of boots, which might be the cause for your stealth difference, or a certain armor...
There's an easy way to find out: check how many thief skill points you have in total, divide it by your thief level, and check if that's the amount you get per level (not sure now what swashbucklers get). Check that in SK or at a level up, since on the character sheet you see the modified values (including dex, equipment etc).
Truth suffers from too much analysis

noo that can't be right, there's just no way a character can have 0 in hide and move silently unless you're a dwarf or half-orc and have a dexterity of 16 or lower, and as a thief I hope you've maxed dexterity allready. ;) But what where your thiefing skills before you dualed? And what level did you dual? But if you're not a dwarf/half-orc with 16 dex I would fix it whith SK right away.

Ah sorry for wasting your time :(
It seems, I just got a little confused.
I didn't know Shadowkeeper only showed what was added to the skills and left out the base values, and I saw those values from Shadowkeeper (silly me...) and thought it was what was really the ingame values.
