This game is all level based and you wont get any deadric stuff till your in high teen levels but if you are on PC there are cheats to get almost anything you want right away.
I just believe in one fewer god than you do. When you understand why you dismiss all the other gods you will understand why I dismiss yours.

This is Ender's brother. I was closing a bunch of oblivion gates yesterday, and I put on Daedric armor. I saw later that every once in a while, I became over-encumbered and lost like 25 feather periodically. I threw away the armor, but am I screwed as far as getting the feather back? How exactly do I get more in the first place? is it from finishing quests? ty

Generally when you have a question that's a completely new topic, you should start a new thread. It makes it more likely more people will see your question, and it also makes it easier for people who search the forum for answers to the same question in the future.Ender Wiggin wrote:This is Ender's brother. That said, you can get Feather effects from spells you cast yourself, as well as potions, scrolls, and enchanted armor/clothing. If you were trying to drink a potion of healing in the heat of battle and got a potion of feather by mistake, you'd get a temporary feather effect. Likewise, if you were wearing a piece of armor, jewelry, clothing, whatever enchanted with feather, the effect would stop when you removed the item. Either way, you could become instantly over-encumbered (say your normal strength lets you carry 250 lbs, you put on a 1lb pair of boots that gives you feather 25 lbs without knowing it so your carry limit is now 275 lbs, you grab 260 lbs of loot and everything is fine. Then you drop the boots, your carry limit drops back to 250 lbs but you're still carrying 259 lbs.
Depending on what was giving you the feather effect and where it is now, you might or might not be able to get it back. If it was a potion or a piece of the daedric armor you left inside a presumably now-closed oblivion gate, you're probably screwed. Selecting any item in your inventory will show you what enchantments it has, so check all your potions and clothes/armor/jewelry to see what you still have. If it's gone, you'll just have to find more. Feather items aren't that common, but they're not once-in-a-lifetime unique items either. Or you can buy a Feather spell from one of the Mages Guilds, then you never have to worry about losing it as long as you have enough magicka to cast it.
Can the answer to this question be "No"?
