I'm currently going to try and play through with the following party:
-PC Sorceror (Sling of Everard?)
-Edwin (Not sure...)
-Haer'Dalis (Celestial Fury with Dak'kon's Zerth Blade?)
-Jan (Not sure...)
-Korgan (Frostreaver with Stonefire?)
-Viconia (Sling of Seeking?)
So I was just wondering how I should equip each character if it's not too much to ask and I also made guesses as to what they could use for some characters. I would like to know if these guesses could work, if not any corrections are welcome(I only have SoA and I'm quite new to the game).
Any help would be appreciated
(And maybe spell picks for my Sorceror for a party such as this? :laugh
My party
Your party is very arcane-heavy.
With 3 other arcane spellcasters you can probably afford to pick the worst spells possible with your sorcerer.
I'd take mainly self-buffs others can't cast like mirror image, protection from xxx weapons, tenser's transformation, mislead to be able to tank if needed and of course the standard attacking spells.
As for weapons:
Stay felexible. Just take what you find. I wouldn't take Dak'kon's Zerth Blade since you really don't need more low level mage spells for your party. I'd rather take kundane or belm for an extra main hand attack.
For Edwin, your sorc and Viconia I'd use mainly slings.
Jan should be able to use both short bows and crossbows, the shortbows give more attacks and do therefore more damage unless you have special ammo to spend with your crossbow.
The quarterstaff+4 buyable from Ribald is an excellent backstabbing weapon.
For Korgan I'd rather use belm or kundane in the off-hand for more attacks. You don't need more than 2 points in 2-weapon style or a point in your off-hand weapon for this to be very effective.
If you want to use Korgan rather defensively you can give him a shield, but I wouldn't take points in shield style. Then you can also buy the dwarven thrower, the anti-undead throwing axe is also very useful.
I'd equip Korgan and Viconia with heavy armor. Always cast strength on them and Haer'Dalis, 2 spells in a row grant 18/00 strength.

Personally I'd change the class of my PC to something slightly more tankish.
With you're current number of current spellcasters you are going to struggle to find a large number of decent items for them to make use of.
THere are some quite useful guides over at gamefaqs.com, there may be some here as well.(And maybe spell picks for my Sorceror for a party such as this? )

If you mean Azuredge, then yes its useful, but, unfortunately, its for good aligned characters only.

Use Kundane and Belm. That is a must for a good Blade tank. Give him an elven chain (found during his quest) so that he can cast spells while having nice AC. That is the basic thing. I personally stuck with those two weapons all the way to the final battle of ToB. A well equiped bard is better than anything else.

The Melodic chain counts as an Elven Chain as it lets you cast spells while wearing it. Also, you could get the Elven Chainmail +1 from Trademeet, by killing the male noble.
Well, both improve your attack speed. With a few buffs and those weapons I managed to get eight attacks per round. With Improved Haste, equipping the Celestial Fury loses two attacks. Sure, it's more damaging and has the stun ability, but higher level enemies tend to save against it.
It works great against mages due to the constant interrupt. When you're trying to take down a Stoneskin spell, you'd use that combination, not something that slows your attack down. You're already a tank, so you have plenty of time to spare before your 300+ hitpoints and Stoneskin wear down... not to mention your almost impenetrable armor class.
The damage should be somewhere between 20 and 50. I tried it out and Celestial Fury and an attack per round weapon don't give that much of a damage increase. You'll probably be using Offensive Spin if you're not using a for of Haste, which does indeed put you under the effects of the afore mentioned spell AND lets you do maximum damage for 24 seconds.

See I have Insect Plague for that. It's the only reason I keep a druid around.It works great against mages due to the constant interrupt
Wouldn't it just be easier to breach/dispel/pierce there stoneskin?When you're trying to take down a Stoneskin spell, you'd use that combination, not something that slows your attack down.

I've yet to see our favorite mage get affected by any of the insect spells.
Well, dispel affects your party as well. I'm currently focusing on the bard right now, without any support. If I'm correct, he can't get the other two spells.
