I am on the quest where you have to get the spirits to follow you by turning off the ghostlights. Well, there is one they keep avoiding, even though it is off, and there are no ghostlights on anywhere around that area, or hostile ghosts, so they should follow me, right? But the spirits keep going around and around and returning to that area but not going to the tree. It's the one right before the room that leads to the tree. I've tried turning it off and on and then off again, to no avail.
I have done some programming myself in the past, and I have a suspicion that whatever flag they are using to tell if the lights are on or off is just not getting triggered in the game's code. I downloaded the most recent patch and it's still not working.
There has to be a workaround. I'm willing to use a cheat code to get past this stupid bug, though I'd rather not unless there isn't anything else I can do.
Please help!
(Never mind, I figured this out. I'd delete my post, but there seems to be no way to do that.)
SPOILER -- Possible Quest Bug, Need Workaround!
My guess is that Emily didn't fully understand the quest. Not only do you have to turn off lights to clear a path, you have to turn on lights so the ghosts only have one place to go. The first time I played this quest, I had ghosts all over the place because I thought they'd go straight to the tree when I had the lights off, and then it took me forever to find them all again.mr_sir wrote:How did you manage to fix the problem?
