Custard Mansion/ Demonic Entity (HELP!!!)

I have been 2 days on the entity and cannot kill it! When I do hit it, it seems to re-charge from the last hit. I cannot get on the table long enough to do damage to it. What can I do????

The way I did it is with lots of fireballs, magic missles, thrown knives and pauses (hit the "E" key to bring up the equipment/inventory menu). I'd strike and immediately hit E. If you're injured you can drink a heal potion if you need to while all the action is paused. Then start again...strike, E, strike , E.... etc.

Thank you. I will give it a shot. Does the Demon replenish his life off of you if you die?
