HotU : Chapter 2 : Shaori’s Fell : Temple : Bug (Spoiler)

Post by Didbert »

I entered the temple. Got poisoned and was inform by the priest of Talona that I had to complete a series of test to get the antidote. To cut a long story short I killed one of each monster summoned and then decided that the priest had no intention of giving the antidote so I killed him to get it and the mirror shard.

That brought my mirror shard count to 4 I talked to the fool but he wants all 5 and I do not have the one Sabals got and I could not find her. So I consulted the walkthrough and she should have jumped me in the throne room. The only reason I can think that she did not is that my journal still has the Temple sub quest as incomplete.

On to my questions:
1) Is it possible to update my journal (Using Debug Mode possibly) so that the Temple sub quest registers as complete. So Sabal jumps me.
or
2) Is it possible to resurrect the Priest and replay the sub quest.

If the answer to either of the above questions is would someone be kind enough to tell me how I would be grateful.

I can't help you with the technical questions, but..

On one of my runs through I ended up killing the priest instead, though I did so from the outset, and I had no trouble...
Did you tell him you were going to kill him in conversation, or did you simply attack him?

I told him in the conversation that I was going to kill him.

Probably a moot question, but did you take the antidote? Also, you're supposed to talk to the fool twice - that's a little something that always bugged me about that section of the chapter. After acquiring the four shards, talk to him in the throne room and he'll tell you that there are 5 shards and that you should return once you have them all. Just walk two steps away and then talk to him again - by that time, Sabal should have appeared somewhere behind him. He'll say something along the lines of "Between you and Sabal, you now have all the 5 pieces of the mirror", and that should trigger the part where Sabal jumps you.

I did take the antidote and I have spoken to the fool multiple times.

About the antidote, I do not think I put it into my inventory before I used it.

I have same problem, collected 4 shards, but two "quests" are still active, and as many times speaking with fool Sabal still didn't come. Is there a way to add fifth shard into inventory? I played this section several times and it happen every time. With 1.68 patch!

ADDING FIFTH SHARD WILL NOT HELP!
Saved character, and replayed from the start of the second chapter, keeping four shards in inventory, collected 2 more (now having 6), but fool "can see I don't have all 5 of them". So I need a way to make Sabal appear.

But I have a question here - found somewhere on forum that Valshareas appear between second and third quest on the land. Is than this quest/ireland important for ending chapter. Can I choose not to go there, at all?
