Fable 2 Pc
Fable 2 Pc
Will They Do a Fable 2 for pc or at least the expansion pack for pc(like Tlc(Its a expansion pack))Thx
Uthman Imam At-TayebThank you for awnsewring my questions....
Microsoft are beginning to focus more attention on the PC games market now than they used to do, so I would expect that it will be out on the PC. It might come out on the Xbox 360 first though, but I don't think it will be like Fable and Fable:TLC where one contains more than the other. When Microsoft released Fable I don't think they intended to release it on PC, I think it was more of a console only game (I could be wrong about this though). After the success of Fable:TLC I think they will be designing Fable 2 to be on both platforms, but with just a few months between release dates like many other developers/publishers have done in the past.

On the contrary, its quite true. Fable was first meant to be Xbox exclusive when it was first released back in early or mid 2005. Only when Lionhead decided to make the TLC version then they decided to release it for both the PC and the XBox. Peter Molyneux, lead developer for Lionhead Studios, said that the reason he released the TLC version for the PC is because he's been developing PC games for his entire life and it is not fair for him to make Fable: TLC Xbox only so he decided to release it for both platforms to show his gratitude. Being hanging around Gamespot and quite a number of gaming sites to know a lot of this. Also, I've been keeping tabs on Fable ever since it was first announced back in 2003 or 2004.

Its more likely they will follow this path, given what they did with Fable: TLC.
EDIT: Had to correct some typing errors.

I don't think its a mistake. It would make sense for them to release it on both the Xbox 360 and on PC, as that way they would be able to market the game to both PC gamers and console gamers. In Lionhead's latest community update they gave another possible hint that it's going PC too. They said, "Our testing department is a room full of big TV’s, Xbox’ and computers." It first I thought that the computer could just be mentioned, because thats how they would submit errors, or are just needed for the testing process, but I don't think that they would have stated it like this unless they meant that they were testing the game for PC too.

Thanks for the update. But I'll no doubt think that Lionhead will repeat their release method like what they did with the original Fable.
If I wanted to upgrade my PC (or get a new one), I won't mind doing it for Fable 2 (and a few other games I'm looking forward to).

I hope they don't wait more than a year to release a PC version. The optomist in me is hoping that Microsoft has learned something from the release of Vista, the pay to play PC games online programs(I forget the name), and Halo 2 PC.
Waiting until sales die down on the platform of choice before releasing it on other platforms is one thing but waiting 3 years is pointless. Halo 2 came out in 2004 and arrived on the PC in 2007 with a foolish Windows Vista requirement. There was a 2 year wait for the original Halo.

I'm sure Lionhead won't follow Bungie's style (but I suspect it's more to Microsoft's doing than Bungie), hopefully, but I won't be surprised if Microsoft tries to force Lionhead to make it Vista exclusive, just like what they did with HALO 2 and Shadowrun.Trias12 wrote:I hope they don't wait more than a year to release a PC version.
