So stuck Chap III need help *spoiler warning*

Post by BS0D »

Ok here is the deal. I just finished helping the dragon ghost, took out the 2 baddies that came and broke the thing [trying not to be too spoilerific].
The dwarves hate me and locked most of the doors to the place. Lizzard men are my pals. I nuked the druids. I've got 2 captains and a ton of well armed greycoats. Found some invisable kazoo. I have a spider in my basement. A lizzard hanging out down there too. I have a blade thing that wont work yet.
I have orders to find these shadow thingies and kill them. I found one and killed it. Ok it found me. I fought this chick 3 times. I stood before a bunch of statues. Found some sword. And about 2 million other things. I have a wizzard tower, a weapon maker, a little dude who sells things. BUT

Problem is. NOW WHAT? If you look at the attached map, these are the only locations available to me and I have been to each about 2 dozen times. I can not find a smithy for my crib. I finally got the roads seemly cleared of rif raf, now I need to put my greycoats on the outer areas and clean them up. I can find no more ore deposits. I can find no hidden or places that I have missed. So what am I missing. This is getting very frustrating sigh. ANY help would be appreciated.

I can't remember exactly what comes next. I can just suggest you talk to the people in your keep, like Nevalle and Aldanon, and see if one of them triggers something.

SWC
Sir Edmund: "Should you obey the lord who asks you to put a village of innocents to the torch? Is that chivalrous? Is it noble?"
Me: "It's a great way to get promoted, I know that much."

Tried that. I am starting to think I found another one of these no fire zones. I had to start over earlier because I fudged up a quest and it messed me hard later in the game.

I was able to progress a little further. I now have the timer @ 92% and it will not progress any further. It seems that the dragon was supposed to mark my map or something. I remember last night it asking me something and I said something about a scar in the earth in my home town and the dragon said then that is where i should go next. But it never showed up on my map.

In my journal, it says under finished quests, that I talked to the dragon but under active quests it says i need to find the dragon and ask it about fixing sword. See attached:

I went around one more time to each location on my map and talked with everyone, even the towns people. I was able to get the dwarf to finally admit everyone in the part was cool, thereby finishing the last part of his quest, except that I can't get into the church to talk with the monks.

GRRRR Tell me please I am just missing something. I would hate to think about the last place i didn't just use F12. And I will not start over from scratch a 3rd time :(

Go to the song portal at Ruins of Arvhan. Then, head to West Harbor via the swamp if you have done this before. If not, just follow the story. Eventually, you'll have to go to the "scar" on teh ground in WH. You will reforge the sword here.

Just to be clear, did you talk to the dragon after breaking the thing?

After the awesome post about the portal I was able to cruize right along until I met a red dragon. It says i have to run back down the hill and it will help me kill all the frost giants. Well I ran down, I killed them all [after dropping some rocks down and taking a few out 1st] and the darn dragon is still sitting there on top of the volcano. I saved and reloaded and I was greated to this oddity.

My tiefling turned into some red guy. See attached

I loaded an older save, and it did the same thing. I work my way up the side of the volcano and take out 2 or 3 posts of giants. I get to the top and make a deal with the dragon. I go down, kill everything on the map, let out a few hostages, and the dragon sits there at the top.

After I go kill everything i go all the way back to the top and it just says we must hurry.

This is the most buggy RPG i have ever paid for. MAN it is frustrating.

No idea what happened to Neeshka, but there's a second exit at the top of the map. That's where you'll find the main giant base.

I meant to say my brain is the most buggy rpg ever made.

I say a blip on the area map, but i could not see how to get to it, i thought it was just the other end of the path you take to get to the red dragon. sheesh.

Thanks, Will go looking now.

That is strange. When I did that, the dragon didn't appear anyway. But, the turning into a red dude, that's awesome. I mean, it's not cool that it happened, but, I think it is very humorous.

Are the stats the same? Did any of the items from Neeshkas inventory get lost? Or is it an identicle character, with just a differen't look?

It said I could not control this person at this time.

I reloaded a 2nd time and it was an empty spot, no avatar, no image on the right. just a blank frame lol.

I was able to get way past that though with the awesome help of the people here. But now I am stuck at a 1/2 open portal lol.

Oh well.

Well, that sounds like a mess. Here's one goodie however. You will find Hlam outside the gate of the Church of Try, not in among the crowd. However, you'll probably need more influence with Khelgar before he accepts monkhood.
Build a man a fire, and he will be warm for a night.
Set a man afire, and he'll be warm the rest of his life.

Thanks.

I saw him there earlier and yes it was before Kelgar got all wishy washy. I guess I haven't had a chance to go back and make him a monk. Now I think I am beyond the point of return, so I don't know.

My experience with Khelgar and monkhood is that you need to get it started in act 1 or 2 and complete it in 2.
