Heh, not sure I understand what you mean, you want a mod so he won't avoid hits and parrys instead?
There is a button on the bottom right that turns Parry on and off, correct?
Or if you mena you want to stop evading well that is a Feat and you could remove it, i.e. removefeat 206 in the console.
Trust me, most of the names I have been called you can't translate in any language...they're not even real words as much as a succession of violent images.

Please make thread titles a bit more descriptive so they indicate your problem. I've changed it this time as it will help get more replies and it will make it easier for other members to locate the thread when searching etc.

Thanks,

Are you using a single hand weapon (or are unarmed)?
Are you activating the parry skill in through the bar in the lower right corner of the UI?

If so you are parrying.
If you mean actually doing a counter attack.
Well that means you need to not only match the enemies attack roll with your parry roll but add 10 points on top of that (unless you are using improved parry).

Boring math :) :
Take Khelgar of my current run through the game. At 5th level he has a minimum attack roll of 10 (9 +1 on the dice), an average roll of 19 or 20 and a max of 29.
Lets put a 5th level character against him.
Dex 19 (18 + 1 from level 4), max ranks in parry, gives a base parry of 12 which means you get at least a 13, an average of 22/23 and a max of 32.
To actually counter an attack by Khelgar you need to roll between 20 and 39.
That means there is a 7 point difference between what Khelgar has to roll and what you have to roll in Khelgars benefit. Once Khelgar throws a 14+ on the dice you can forget a counter. The chance of you equalling or beating his roll is (if I did my statistics correctly) 22.75% (chance to parry 66%, includes counter attack)

You can improve the odds if you work on it. Improved parry (int 13 required) reduces the roll needed for a counter attack from +10 to +5. In the above example that would reduce the gap to 2 points improving your odds of doing a counter attack to 42.75%(parry 66%, includes counter attack)
you can also take the skill focus(Parry) feat together with the Improved parry feat.
Things are getting interesting at this point seeing that the gap is now in your favour by 1 point resulting in a 57.25%(parry 77.25%, includes counter attack) chance of counter attack.
Next there is only one option left at this character level to increase your parry skill; Items, like the One of Many mace which adds 3 points to parry increasing your counter attack to 70% (parry 86.25%, includes counter attack).

For later in the game there is the duelist prestige class.
The eight level in the duelist prestige class benefit adds the level in the prestige class to your parry skill. That is not as good as it sounds though, since by that time Khelgar has improved his attack roll due to magic items and stat increases by +6 effectively only improving your parry by 2 points with it increasing to +4 in your next two levels and then going down again to +2 when Khelgar gets his hands on a +5 weapon.
I haven't put in weapon focus feats which means a fighter using the weapon that (s)he has weapon focus and improved weapon focus in strips two points of this increased benefit. The flip side is that you by now have your own stat increases (if put in dex) and dex boosting items which would add another 3 points to parry (if using the same distribution & strength of items as Khelgar).

Note 1: Improved parry only reduces the number you need to reach to achieve a counter attack and adds 1 more attack that you can parry at the highest rate where skill focus(Parry) also increases your chance to just block an attack

Note 2: To keep parry a viable tactic once you get past level 15 enter the duelist prestige class to get that eight level benefit which is needed to counter magic weapons.

I think Drunkside only meant to have a mod, which has parry animation, like it was in nwn1, when you blocked the enemy attack with your weapon not avoiding it with a sidestep.

I've been trying out quite a number of mods and read aboute eaven more but so far i havn't found a mod that changes the animation when you fight. Given time maybe someone somwhere will make one.

As the animation currently is, i think it is as it is ment to be. If you don't chose to parry you will simply try to avoid the attacks and get as many hits in as you can. For more defensive combat you chose to parry and only hitting where there is an opening. :)

parry mod

I agree, I tried a duelist for the parry bonus and my char just jumps out of the way or doesn't move at all, thus defeating the point of parrying in the first place!

animations would be nice!
