In a certain way, it is kind of necessitated by the Irenicus plotline itself. Considering that he is supposed to be Mr. Evil: got his own soul taken away for being so evil, it's arguably more unbalanced to the game plot if the PC were supposed to be even *more* evil than that. By the same token, if the PC truly had a 0 reputation, wouldn't Elhan and all the other war-elves try to attack you on sight and see you as even more of a threat than Irenicus himself? Maybe it would have been interesting if the designers had set up a path whereby Irenicus could be allied with to ultimately go up against Ellisime, or at least have your own soul somehow used by Irenicus such that to get it back as an evil player one must kill the tree of life/guardian spirits/etc.Raven_Song wrote: I personally feel that Bioware expected people to play good characters, or they were certainly pushing for it. When you consider that there are double the number of good NPC's, and that of the evils (who really aren't all that evil) Viconia is redeemable (and indeed Korgan was originally planned to be redeemable by Mazzy) it does not seem that they really wanted to develop an evil path.
Is IMOEN necessary for the plot ..?

Hi again,
Thank-you for all the replies.
I put the elven mail on her and it really gave her some good AC (now -4) too bad she cannot wear the ring of protection+2 I found... bummer. Still she is very weak and can carry only 50 pounds, man..!
I am now, in a red cave where there are 4 or 5 big eyes on the wall behind my party, and there are staircases leading down, each to another location.
If this is the end-game, then it sure did end faster that what I had in mind :-(. However I do have TOB installed. How do I play TOB with the current party I have? Is this possible?
I recently discovered that only custom made characters can be used in new SOA games. What about their equipment then? Does it get imported to the new game as well?? Or do I loose all these items upon starting of a new game?
Thanks again!

Next time, play through all the side quests. Nalia's keep, Windspear Hills, Umar Hills, Tradesmeet, Unseeing Eye, etc will all make the game take quite a while.liorde wrote:Hi again,

Second- just keep playing. You'll get to TOB after finishing SOA.
She can become an excellent support-mage I've found, plus her thieving abilities aren't half bad. Usually I have her with all the buff-spells and leave my main who's usually a Sorcerer with all the heavy-duty offensive spells.
Even with your main as a warrior she's still pretty good, give her a nice Melf's Acid Arrow to distrupt casters and with a few shield spells and a good bow she can hold her own decently well if you put her in the back along with Aerie if you have her in your group.

Imoen, well I like her now..!
She has AC -7 (which is even better than Minsc's AC... :-| )
Now I found a girdle of strength which I intend to give her, she is really starting to be very useful.
Hurray Imoen.
Just for the record, I am now in TOB, right after disposing Yaga Shura dude.
Now on the way to "The Oasis".
