When I clicked on the shortcut it didn't load up, and nothing happens. I did dig though windows explorer and find the actual program, but even clicking on that did nothing. On a side note, Quick time is doing the same thing, and sice both are installed together they may be suffering from the same problem. AVG was out of date, but I downloaded the needed software. I tried repairing it, and unistall reinstall. Nothing seems to work, any ideas???Itunes Problems

I have Itunes, and it recently stopped working. When I clicked on the shortcut it didn't load up, and nothing happens. First step would be to try and disable your firewall(s) (or possible uninstall) to see if it is that which block outgoing traffic.
If I recall right, then AVG is pure anti-virus sofware? Or do they have firewall in their new versions?
If more then one program is having this behavior, I'd certainly think it is 3rd part software which plays in - and firewall is the obvious first step.

It's not that I'm having problems logging on to the internet with Itunes, it is that it isn't working at all. Clicking on the program to open it does nothing. AVG is just virus blocking anyway, so that wouldn't be the problem.

I suggest doing a clean install of iTunes to see if it works or not. Not only uninstalling the program but also deleting any entry in the registry.

From the Start Menu, select the 'Run' icon. On the 'Run' box, type 'regedit' in it. You will be directed to the registry editor. From there, look for the 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE' folder, open it's sub-directory and look for the 'SOFTWARE' directory.
