finding the right merchants

Post by CrimsonSun »

lately i've been finding items worth 1k gold or more and alot of the merchants i'm trying to sell them too seem to only want to buy it for almost half the price. how do i find the right merchants who probally won't buy it for the full price, but atleast a little closer to it? anyone know any non-cheapskape merchants?

i haven't played oblivion for a bit but i believe the max they will give you for anything is 1200 unless you invest in the store or get a mod to increase the price.
Why am I fighting to live, if I'm just living to fight? Why am I trying to see, when there aint nothing in sight? Why am I trying to give, when no one gives me a try? Why am I dying to live, if I'm just living to die?

Mercantile skill of 75 or more lets you invest. Any merchant you invest in will then permanently have 500 more gold to buy stuff from you. Also, mercantile skill of 100 supposedly gives all merchants 500 more gold, but I don't know if it stacks with your investment because I've never raised my mercantile skill that high.

It doesn't matter whether the last wedge was something the NPC liked or disliked (you can tell what they like and dislike from their facial expressions when you hover the mouse over each wedge), it only matters whether you maximized the two wedges they liked and minimzed the two wedges they disliked. You can easily get a net gain in disposition, even if the last thing they said to you was negative.

One surefire way to make slow but steady increases in disposition: do whatever it takes to use the smallest bar for both "dislikes" wedges. Click anything else in the two "likes" wedges (even if it's the second-smallest bar). Disposition won't increase as fast as if you gamble on putting the biggest bar in the most liked wedge, but you're guaranteed at least a small net gain every time, and you can still occasionally get lucky with the big wedges in "likes" topics for a big gain.
