Hi! .. just a query .. im playing with the human Paladin class .. now my total weight limit is 200 .. but whenever i reach 130 the character gets encumbered .. y so ?? :S .. shudnt it cross 200 to get encumbered??

The limit given seems to be a limit for "heavily encumbered".

The "weight limit" is just that. The maximum weight you can carry before you cannot move. There are stages of encumbrance you can achieve before that though.

Well you can go over the max limit as well but you move slow and get some massive combat penalties.

Anyhow if the DMG rules keep up at the 2/3 max load your effective max dex is reduced to 1 and you get a 6 point penalty on checks (if your armor is not worse).
