Cloud Ruler Temple and the Blades(possible spoiler)

When I first got this game I went striaght to the "Dark Brotherhood" I've finished the quest lines and now my infamy is 38. Now I've just started doing the main quest and just finished taking Martin to Cloud Ruler Temple, now at this point aren't I suppose to be invited to join the ranks of the Blades, or is my infamy just too high now?

I think you need to talk to Jauffry and you will be made a honorary member. if your a male chare your title will be knight Brother and female will be Knight sister. there isnt a storyline to it and you dont get extra quests from the blades. at least as far as I know.

I've talked to Jauffre all he tells me is to get the amulet of kings back, i haven't been made a member or anything, does my high infamy effect joining the blades?

Maybe indirectly. Jauffre's disposition toward you has to be above 40 before he will invite you to join the Blades, and since you can't bribe or persuade him the only way to raise it might be to get your fame score higher.

are you far enough in the story?
Fame has to do with it too.
if your infamy is too high then he won't ask.
My DB character can't join.
My fighter's guild character can.

hmm.. my fame is 8 and my infamy is 38... i guess my character is too evil for the blades

do the arena questline. if you finish it you will have 30+ fame.

Same issue. Must be related. My mage's guild character was no problem, my DB character doesn't get the pop.

Just for future reference if anyone reads this: I just redid this quest after going back to a previous save. Current Infamy is 58, Current fame is 21; and I got the invite to the Blades. Earlier, before going to a prior save, Infamy was 58 and fame was around 2.

Maybe you can try a high level charm spell on him
