Anywhere to buy arrows?
Anywhere to buy arrows?
I'm at Dragon's Eye and pretty much getting besieged by trolls left and right, only problem is I can't find anywhere in Kuldahar to buy flame or acid arrows. Is there a place that I'm missing? I've tried the smith, the mage, the equipment shoppe and oswald's place with no luck whatsoever.

I believe every lizardman shaman also carries the oil pots. So you can loot them after taking them out. There's a pretty good number of them but I don't think there's enough to finish "every" troll if you use one per troll. If you can manuever a second or possibly even a third troll next to an "almost dead" prone one (I let it chase me to where I want it to be) you should have enough time to knock it prone as well and then get 2 or 3 with one flaming oil pot or spell (such as Burning Hands or Aganazzer's). You've probably already thought of that, but figured I'd throw it in just in case.

only thing i can say is, export one of your characters, then get rid of him/her. create another character as a mage, and give him burning hands. when done w/ trolls, get rid of him and import the exported one.
A poodle may not come within 15ft of a man unless accompanied by a hot woman. Ammendment: Replace "poodle" with "any dog that can be punted."
The problem with this is that the character which you swap out from your party doesn't get any exp from the kills... and eventually is left a bit behind in levels... not much though.jippitys preist wrote:only thing i can say is, export one of your characters, then get rid of him/her. create another character as a mage, and give him burning hands. when done w/ trolls, get rid of him and import the exported one.

granted. however, in the scope of things, it won't be much.
Vaelan: what does your party consist of? any, druids it think? with burning seeds? they will work.

Yes, if you kill just the trolls, but IIRC there were at least few bigger fights which included trolls as well. In those fights you would also lose the exp from other kills too...jippitys preist wrote:granted. however, in the scope of things, it won't be much.
And I don't see the problem, as Philos stated, there should be enough oil pots in the corpses of shamans, and if your party have at least one mage or druid you should have no problems...

Fire Seeds is a lvl 6 spell, and a druid is not likely to have it by lvl 2 of Dragon's Eye except possibly if playing HoF. However, a druid has Sunscorch at lvl 1 and Flame Blade at lvl 2. Flame Blade is good because it lasts for several rounds, so you can permanently kill as many trolls as you can down during the spell duration. You could also use Produce Fire, a lvl 4 druid spell.
A poisoned, phased, confused or held troll will also die.
