Reaver at West Harbor (spoiler)
Well, I am at West Harbor and have fought all of the bad guys except for the reaver. The only party members still alive are me and the gith woman. I have a regenerating ring and am not in any danger. The reaver can't harm me. I've run out of spells though and don't seem to be hurting him at all either. Do you need Ammon alive to recite his spell? I've noticed at other points in the game, your party sometimes resurrects on their own. That's how the gith woman re-entered the fight. This has gone on now for about 45minutes. Does anyone have any advice? Should I just let the game run all night and hope that the reaver runs out of his semi-infinite hit points?
Until somebody in your party (Z or AJ) recites its true name, the reaver will keep regenerating its health. If Z is still alive, then she should be able to do it.

They can't be interrupted while chanting the name. A surefire tactic is to clear the area of all other hostiles first, then draw the reaver's attention with someone who can hold his own for a while. Take your name-chanter away from the combat and chant the name from a safe distance.
You can allow yourself such a tactic for now. It gets harder, the game will eventually put you in situations in which you will have no choice but to recite the name while fending off other enemies. Just draw their attention away first and you will be fine.

One other method that worked for me, assuming you can't get Z to cast the True Name (she has to have the 'scroll' with her), and assuming Ammon is in your party but dead, is to lead the Reaver away from the dead bodies. If you can get far enough away (I've done this), they will regenerate (come alive), you can heal them, then get AJ back into the fray. But as previously mentioned, they have to be able to continually cast the spell for 4 or 5 rounds without losing concentration. I found my best chance of this is taking over AJ or Z while casting, then sitting on them until you see "Ammon Jerro casts True Name" in the message box. If it says "casting" instead of "casts", he isn't finished yet. If you keep an eye on the command box, you'll see the spell go through its 4 or 5 iterations before the completion message is reached. At that point, hit the reaver with everything you got.

I think its the scroll. I believe I've had it on me the whole time. I guess that's why it wouldn't work. I'll give it a shot. I've already done the run away/bring back the dead trick but no one casts the spell. I supposed that it was because some attack kept interrupting Ammon but now I see what it was... I think.
